If you use it, go read the book Why Stomach Acid Is Good For You. It'll show you how the real cause for most us actually not enough stomach acid causing reflux, not too much. Without adequate amounts you don't digest your food and your LES doesn't shut. As the food isn't broken down and it ferments in the stomach, the pressure opens the LES and causes any food to have the ability to come back up, with the tiny bit of acid you have, causing reflux. Instead, have adequate acid to breakdown your food properly and this prevents the LES from opening and causing reflux. You also need stomach acid to signal the body to release enzymes for breaking down carbs, and also releasing bile to aid with breaking down fats.

I've worked with lots of clients on this exact thing as a Nutritional Therapist and it is so common. I've had clients come to me on these prescriptions for 15+ years, with doses only increasing, never decreasing, and it never fully goes away. Instead they just get increased risk of osteoporosis and other issues.

First time eating at the new restaraunt to hit Norwich Mowgli Street Food

I've been to the Bury restaraunt a few times and Norwich didn't disappoint. So easy to eat healthy here, tasty food, and a great setting.

Spices for inflammation and feeding bacteria.

The dhaal was amazing for taste, protein, fibre and show release energy.

Prawn curry was not oily or greasy but fresh on flavour.

The monkey wrap is always a winner with insane flavours, while still being light.

My favourite spot in Norwich now for tasty, but healthy Indian food.

I've been training clients and helping people transform their lives 15 years.

My focus now is helping mainly over 40s clients to improve their health.

We are rolling back the years, dropping pounds of fat, and building muscle and strength to bulletproof them for the future.

No crazy diets, just eating real food.

No restriction of carbs or fats.

And no, they don't live in the gym 6 days a week for 2 hour sessions. Most do 2-3 sessions a week, full body, and focus on nailing the basics.

I have a few slots open for anyone serious to want to change.

To start working on the future, no matter whether you're in your 40s, 50s, 60s, or more.

This doesn't mean I won't train under 40s, but my focus is those over 40.

This is why I love training my over 40s clients.

The simple element of moving, especially lifting weights, helps to prevent muscle loss.

This is massive for health, but more so the health you have later in life.

If you fall you have stronger bone development to decrease breaks or fractures.

You have better balance and stability.

You can do daily movements easier, and for longer.

Chores, jobs, and general day to day moving becomes easier.

You look and feel better.

Why would you not want all this?

Movement is medicine, it should be one of the first thing doctors prescribe people to do if they're not doing it.

Plus, my clients are a lot fitter and stronger than many 20 year olds in today's world, and that says something πŸ’ͺ

15 years.

That's how long I've been training people.

Years of 7 day weeks, with a desire to help others achieve their goals.

Ultimately those who wanted to make the changes have achieved their goals and more.

I've lost track of how many pounds of fat have been dropped and how much muscle has been gained.

But for those individuals who committed to training with me they have improved their health, reversed diabetes, improved their confidence, reduced their disease risk, I could go on and on.

Meet client Angela Bence

Angela came to me doing pilates, and many other holistic therapies, but wanted some help with her strength training, and also some Sound Therapy.

As a heads up, she used to be 20 stone in weight, and look at her now.

Since we recently started working together I've worked on strengthening and stabilising her shoulders, improving her leg strength, and working further on her core to compliment her pilates work.

We've also use Sound Therapy to support her TMJ issues and support her joint health.

Angela has made a life changing transformation, and is a perfect example of hard work, and how it can truly pay off.

A lot of these celebrities who are advocating a supplement brand aren't actually using it themselves.

Personally, I will use brands that I've used and know that they work.

I use brands with a good reputation.

They're designed by Nutritional Therapists.

They don't carry harmful forms of synthetic ingredients.

And finally, what they're being used for the person actually needs it.

Just because someone is famous, it doesn't mean they're meaning what they say.

Their bank balance is just happier while doing it.

Seems sinister, but it's true.

Is protein overhyped?

We are seeing such a phase of people worrying about getting so much protein that they forget we need other nutrients for our health.

Fibre for our gut microbiome.

Carbs for fibre for our gut, and for energy, thyroid, brain function, liver function.

Fats for brain health, hormones, hydration.

Most people I see now who are conscious of protein are actually overeating it.

And what happens?

They get gut issues, bloating, gas, and they also don't think about fibre.

Their stool tests then show up some not so beneficial results, and the issue was the unbalanced diet they were following.

So, food for thought literally, if you're having gut issues and consuming lots of protein, maybe try backing off it a little.
