The news is out! I am doing some Brand Refresh sessions on the 13th July after the .biz meetup at the beautiful

These kind words are from a session I did of short but sweet photography mentoring sessions as part of a .biz meet up.
Steven, Rachel & Foggy | Burbidge’s of Norfolk | Cromer came in with the challenge of photographing the shiny surfaces of trophies and other such wonderful things. And I tell you what, I still think about it today 😅 I love a challenge. I have since sent them lots of random messages as ideas occur to me and I want to thank them for supporting my obsession haha.
We had a lot of fun experimenting with angles & ideas. We didn't come to a definitive final point but sometimes that is the way. But if you look at their Instagram, you can see they are not struggling with photos at all. Their beautiful store has developed and changed a lot since our chat and it's been so fun watching their journey :)
Sometimes people need to just ask a couple of questions, sometimes they need long term mentoring. I am super happy with both!

My first photo session as Time to be Photography. I am so grateful to Amber for giving me a chance and welcoming me to her beautiful class :)
Amber at Twinkle Toes Norfolk had just started up this Baby Yoga group as a new offer for her business at the time, but needed some photos in order to advertise it and show people what the sessions are like and what to expect. Which is so important for her group of customers.
It was 100% the cutest morning ever and we had the biggest giggles. Amber creates the most supportive, warm and safe spaces and you can see that in the big smiles :)
If you are nearby and can book onto one of her toddler or baby groups you definitely should! Since this photo session I have seen so many posts from her that include the families I met and the community they must have is 😍 and so crucial!
I will be sharing more of my portfolio from these first couple of years and more about all of the amazing businesses I work with over the next few weeks.

Two years of Time To Be Photography!!!
Almost.
It's been two years since coming back to work after having my daughter and two years since I didn't know what I was going to do.
I didn't completely focus on photography until January the following year, but I count the whole journey of course.
It's been amazing and I am so grateful for this journey and that I get to interact with and learn from the most amazing small businesses in this beautiful county.
I can't wait to see how this continues to grow :)

Oh boy! I have been sitting with this news for a long time :)
I found out a few months ago that I have been shortlisted for a The UK Small Business Awards in the Best Photography Services category :)
When I returned from maternity leave not knowing what to do there is no way I could have known that I was heading into the best journey where I would meet the most amazing, hard working and passionate people.
This is so so exciting :) thank you to all who have been there on this journey.
Running a business can be isolating, but it doesn't have to be lonely.
I was sitting in my studio one day and realised, other folks could fit in here to co-work! So this is just a shout out to those of you out there who may want a change of scene, some company or just someone to say things out loud to (me too!)
It's not the fanciest place, but it's cosy and feels really nice, and we can muddle through to make sure everyone is comfortable.
Come and hang out. You can even use my desk if you like. Just message me and we'll try and find a date :)
Really embedding into my creative practice recently alongside working with my lovely small business clients. Sometimes it's serious and reflective ... And sometimes... It's this.
March was an amazing month :)
Not every photo here is what folks may call "good" but I experience the world through my photography and everything I choose to photograph is important.
Important can mean it's something I want to remember, something that made me feel a certain way, or just something I liked the look of. I have been practicing mindful photography for a while now and so the process feels kinda automatic and it's really shaped my natural need to notice into a developed and thoughtful practice. It sounds funny, but a photo tells me it wants to be taken.
I am so excited to share this practice in my seasonal workshops at soon. The first one is this month and there are still spaces!
Can't wait to put together the one for April.
