Learning something new 💪

Rob had never performed a sumo deadlift before, so this week we took some time to learn the movement properly with coach guidance.

Why sumo deadlifts?

✅ Build strength through the glutes, hamstrings and legs
✅ Help improve hip mobility and lower body power
✅ More upright torso position compared to a conventional deadlift
✅ Great option for many people looking to develop confidence with lifting

The goal isn’t to lift the heaviest weight on day one. The goal is to learn the movement, build good habits and get stronger over time.

Everyone starts somewhere — even experienced gym members have exercises they’ve never tried before.

After ongoing hamstring pain, Rachel was referred by Fitness Space to Physio Resolutions for a clearer understanding of the issue she’d been dealing with.

An ultrasound scan confirmed proximal hamstring tendinopathy with calcification, and she has now started a course of focused shockwave therapy alongside a structured rehab and strength plan.
