Puddle Ducks Norfolk & Suffolk Puddle Ducks’ effective, instructor-led baby and child swimming classes are all about fun, confidence We’ve deliberately limited our class sizes to eight.

Each class lasts half an hour and provides a wonderful bonding opportunity for parents and their little ones. This gives excellent teacher-student ratios and means we can offer truly individually-tailored swimming lessons for babies, toddlers and children that let them learn with other children of their age, all at their own pace. Quality of teaching has always been our top priority, and we’re constantly evolving our teaching programme and methods to make sure your children receive the very best swimming lessons out there. Classes take place across within, or close to, the following areas - Ipswich, Colchester, Woodbridge, Felixstowe, Norwich, Fakenham, Hethersett and Brundall.

Puddle Ducks Pyjama Week teaches invaluable personal survival skills as well as being lots of fun! All our classes have a water safety element to them every week, however, our Pyjama Week gives all our swimmers an opportunity to see what it might feel like to be wearing clothes in the water.

This week is our annual Charity Pyjama Week where we raise money for Children’s Hospital Pyjamas who donate pyjamas to poorly children staying in hospital. You can also donate to Children’s Hospital Pyjamas by bringing a new pair of pyjamas to your class if your local pool is collecting.

Well done to all of our swimmers, teachers and parents for joining in and having lots of fun in the pool! 💦

It’s our Water Safety Pyjama Week with our charity partner Children’s Hospital Pyjamas 💦

Puddle Ducks Water Safety Pyjama Week teaches invaluable personal survival skills as well as being lots of fun!  
During these special lessons, children (and their grown-ups if in the pool) come to class in their pyjamas and experience what it feels like to swim in clothes. This helps them understand how different the water feels in real-life situations, while still enjoying the songs, games and activities they love. 

It’s a brilliant way to give children practical skills and confidence in the water, while also reassuring parents that their little ones know what to do if they ever find themselves in the water unexpectedly. 
 
Our swimmers (and teachers!) always look forward to Pyjama Week - it’s a memorable milestone and a valuable part of your child’s swimming journey.

Our classes incorporate rhyme, music and movement based on extensive child development research and the benefits to both parent and baby of swimming together are immense. Supporting skin and eye contact, being fun and socially stimulating, and a wonderful way to relax and spend time with your child.

Puddle Ducks Baby & Pre-school and Swim Academy teachers are trained to the highest standard by the best in the business. Not only will you have internationally recognised STA qualifications, but you will be specially trained in the 100% child-led Puddle Ducks and Swim Academy programmes.  

Our swimming teachers come from all walks of life but they all bond over their love of the way we teach children to swim here at Puddle Ducks. Previous swim teacher experience isn’t necessary, but we do look for a few basics when we are recruiting. We are looking for someone who: 

💧Can swim 25m and is confident diving to the bottom of a pool.
💧Is confident, friendly, flexible and reliable. 
💧Has a passion for working with children. 
💧Has a driving licence and access to a car.
💧Is willing to commit to training over several months.

What a fantastic achievement! Best friends from
Puddle Ducks to National Championships! 

Lottie and her best friend Amber, daughter of Puddle Ducks franchisee Jay Nash (Puddle Ducks Chester, Wirral & North Wales), first splashed into the pool together at Puddle Ducks Holywell Leisure Centre. Fast forward 10 years, after completing the Puddle Ducks programme through to our Elite Swim Academy, these two best friends, now 12 years old, are making waves at the National Swimming Championships competing together for Holywell Swimming Club.

Lottie is excelling in breaststroke while Amber is soaring through the water as an avid butterfly swimmer. From those early Puddle Ducks lessons to competing on the national stage, their journey is a wonderful reminder of how swimming can create friendships and inspire young swimmers to achieve incredible things. Good luck girls, everyone here at Puddle Ducks is cheering you on!
