What a lovely morning I’ve had teaching the Year 3s at Kinsale Junior School this morning! ✨

We covered the importance of staying safe with martial arts, when to use it and when not to. The children also had a fantastic time recapping over my personal competition career as they tried on the medals and held the big trophy! From there we learnt some kicks and punches and took part in some fun fitness games to give a taster of what NSKA is all about. 🔥

It’s been a wonderful morning teaching at the school and I do hope to see more friendly faces from Year 3 attend NSKA’s afterschool club Monday evenings at Kinsale! 🙌

As instructors, to see the genuine happiness of the children we teach fills us with immense pride and gratitude. For that to be reaffirmed in writing is something that we truly appreciate and cherish.

We are very grateful for the partnership we have with Kinsale, a strong bond has been found here and we do hope to continue this for years to come.

🥋 Week 2 at Kinsale Junior School 🥋

It was all smiles this week as we worked on our karate poses and continued building confidence! 👊😄

We also welcomed a new starter to the club, who did incredibly well in their very first session and was already making new friends. 🙌

We’re so proud of how everyone is settling in, supporting each other and having fun while learning karate. ❤️

D’Angelo is making some great progress helping the instructors!

Now, Sensei Rhys is excited to be back on Thursday to meet the Year 3s for some exciting karate taster sessions! 🥋🔥

Walking into a new class can be a BIG step for a shy child. They might feel nervous, uncomfortable or worried about meeting new people — and that’s completely okay. ❤️

At NSKA, we don’t expect children to suddenly become confident overnight. We help them build confidence gradually, at their own pace.

Through karate and kickboxing, children are encouraged to:
