So we did a fun thing tonight! We did a unofficial champion of champions match with the Wednesday and Thursday nights SGN league winners. Father and son John and Jack Walker just edged it! 🏆 This got me thinking 🤔... watch this space! 😉⛳️

Well done to John Walker and his son Jack Walker for winning SGN'S Thursday night league final! 🏆🏆 🍾 🥂. So thats it now until mid September! Thanks to all that played in both leagues, there was a lot of great golf shots (and some unusual ones 🤣) and most importantly plenty of laughs! 😀. If anyone reading this fancies their chances please PM me and ill put you on the reserve list ⛳️

Absolutely awesome, a thing of beauty that you can achieve a certain percentage of! Here at SGN we're not going to lie and give you any bullshi@ 😀. Rory has worked very very hard to have the swing he has that, to be honest, most amateurs dont have the time to practice as much as he does! HOWEVER , if you can get 20% of Rory's swing you will play the best golf of your life 👌. Want to learn golf the polite blunt way? Want a bit of Rorys swing? Give me a shout and we'll get the ball rolling 😉⛳️🏆

Yesterday I was looking at some of my memories on FB and came across this pic from 10 years ago, (I had hair then! 🤣 ) SGN is now over 10 years old and I remember the opening like it was yesterday! I remember the many sleepless nights of 'have I done the right thing?' I remember looking at my bank balance and thinking 's**t, I've only got a couple of months trading left'. I remember people saying, 'He's taking a gamble', and 'its not like the real thing though is it'? Being the first golf simulator in Norwich (not Norfolk, I can't claim that one! 😉) there was bound to be doubts but with the help of my old Wensum Valley Members, BNI, and good old word of mouth, I started to get busier, and the bank balance started to cover the costs. 🙏 As I stated in the EDP article 10 years ago a golf simulator is not to substitute real golf, theres nothing better than getting out there in the fresh air for exercise and wellness 💪. But what a golf simulator can do is help with coaching and practice with all the tech that comes with it, simulate golf for beginners, and also great fun to play when its too wet or dark!
To see how many golf simulators are around Norwich now at golf clubs, driving ranges and other venues makes me feel a little bit proud 😊. I still very much believe golf sims will get more people into golf ⛳️ and that can only be a good thing 👌. To everyone who has walked through my door for a golf lesson, league night, party, or part of Brads wall of fame and Portugal trips 🇵🇹 thankyou ❤️, you have all been part of getting rid of those sleepless nights 🌙, and convincing me it wasn't a gamble. If you've got this far reading I wish you all a very merry Christmas and prosperous new year!
