Hi here’s one for you all! I received this message today. Can anyone help? The ladies dad is Peter Croot and his dad, John James Croot, possibly former head master of Buxton Primary School.

Hello! Bit of a long shot but trying to find information about a friend of my Dad, who sadly passed away in 1977, aged 22. His name was Martin Renshaw, born 1953, known to some as Choppers. His Dad was called Ted we think? Think he died after losing his legs to Sepsis? Dad cant remember his funeral or if he was buried, so we trying to find out for him. Any info appreciated! Elise

Due to ever rising daily costs of running the hall we are having to increase our prices as of Sunday 1st March 2026.

Our new hire fees are:

Main hall £15 per hour
Small hall £12 per hour
Both halls £20 per hour
Upstairs room £7 per hour.

Last night we were taken over by Buxton Preschool Playgroup and their Bingo players.

The hall was packed and all eyes were down ready to win some amazing prizes.

We would like to say a huge thank you to the preschool team for raising £88.50 for the hall via their “Human Bingo” game.

We can’t wait to welcome you back next year! Happy Christmas!!🎄🎄🎄🎄
