Congrats to Jaromír Jágr on being inducted into the Hall of Fame of the International Ice Hockey Federation! He is the first ever player to be inducted as an active player.

The icing on the cake was the fact he was announced to be inducted while his native country of Czechia won its first ever gold medal at the IIHF Men’s World Championship IN Czechia!

Here we attended ice hockeys oldest fixture, the 106th Blues match between Oxford & Cambridge.

Professor William (Bill) Harris (Professor Emeritus of Physiology, Development and Neuroscience at the University of Cambridge / Fellow of Clare College, University of Cambridge / Fellow of the Royal Society, London) arrived in Cambridge, England in 1995 via a sojourn teaching and playing hockey (ice and roller) in San Diego.
Originally from Toronto, Ontario, ‘Bill’ has never played, coached or been involved with hockey at its highest level during his 71 years, but rather has single-handedly been responsible for maintaining, developing, coordinating and delivering the hockey programme in Cambridge for over 27 years.

RIP Brent Pope - He was a big part of UK hockey, our thoughts are with his family at this difficult time.
