It’s hard to get your point across correctly in 90 seconds when you’re not exactly the most articulate person.
It’s then impossible to caveat everything you say in one post 😂
So this is a follow up to the last one to make my point clearer.
I don’t hate or look down on fitness classes nor people who go to them, I was just using that context as an example to make a point.
I can make the exact same point using the gym floor, as I mention in this.
The message being: if you’re consistently doing [insert type of exercise] but getting nowhere with your goals…
You’ve likely gotten comfortable just turning up and aren’t putting in the work where it matters now.
Once just getting consistent with [insert type of exercise] was enough to see progress, cos you weren’t doing that before.
But now that’s your norm, it’s time to tackle those other areas you prefer not to think about.
(Someone say nutrition? 👀)
Hopefully that’s clearer this time and if not then maybe I should just shut the f**k up and keep my observations to myself 😂
(I won’t though cos who is that helping?)

I help people like you build a healthier and happier lifestyle, without sucking the joy out of it! ✅
I’ve been wanting to get this off my chest for ages.
I’ve taught gym classes for almost 3 years and in that time I’ve been forced to see so many people make absolutely no real progress.
Yes they get a bit fitter, add 2.5kg to the bar, get a sweat on.
But the goals they mention to me? Losing weight, getting leaner, getting stronger, growing an arse?
No progress to be found.
Literally the exact same spot they were in 12 months ago.
Going to these classes and thinking they’re enough is failing you.
And I’m literally not even getting started on why the class itself will literally never build you any shape changing muscle.
That’s a whole other topic.
Seriously though if you have actual goals, PLEASE do more than just turn up to the class and think that’s enough.
You need to be doing more.
Nutrition. Non-gym movement.
And if you don’t know what ‘more’ looks like, DM me. Please.
Cos I dunno how much more I can take of seeing people waste their own time and lose confidence in their ability to ever actually achieve those goals.
It’s depressing.
I’ve worked with almost 100 people as a weight loss coach, this is THE mistake I see amongst people that never achieve their goal.
(Including myself for YEARS)
They’re constantly searching for a way around the hard part.
🪩 A better plan.
🪩 A quicker method.🪩 A more “realistic” approach.
Basically… the fitness version of “is there a way to get paid without working?” 🫠
They’re looking for something that feels easier.
But the funny thing is all that does is keep you stuck in the same cycle you’re already sick to death of.
The ones who actually get anywhere just bloody get on with it like the fully grown adult they are.
They embrace discomfort like it’s part of the job description, cos frankly it is.
They accept that:
💀 Often you won’t feel motivated💀 Sometimes getting steps in or getting to the gym feels like unpaid labour💀 Saying no to things (and people) can be awkward as hell
And then they do it anyway.
Because fat loss isn’t about finding a perfect plan or waiting for the stars to align and your motivation to magically show up.
It’s about getting better at taking action regardless of how you feel.
When it’s inconvenient, uncomfortable, and honestly a bit s**t.
It’s not sexy, glamorous or rocket science but it does get bloody good results.
Ever wonder why it feels so damn hard to get in good shape? And maintain it?
Well I’ve covered it in the latest episode of The Proud Body Podcast available now.
Either go to my bio to find it or comment ‘PODCAST’ and I’ll deliver it directly to your DMs (need to be following me or I’ll get lost in requests!)

Just in case it wasn’t clear enough... this is a sarcastic post. It’s meant to be a jest.
The non-sarcastic part:
I consumed probably shy of 3000 calories in the space on 90 minutes.
I don’t ruin christmas meals by trying to track them so it’s a good guesstimate.
Anyway I’m pretty sure that was not something that was intended when the human body was designed.
As a result I got bloated as f**k.
This is normal, you shouldn’t s**t the bed at being bloated.
As exemplified here, it will literally disappear by the morning.
Yes you will retain some weight gain - but it’s just food in the system and retained water from the f**k tonne of extra carbs.
Nothing that won’t disappear in a couple days if you have a good 💩 and return to your normal diet and exercise habits (assuming they’re not crap).
This is something I really try to ingrain into my clients when they start working with me.
Getting upset or feeling shame and guilt after going out for a nice meal is no way to live your life.
Neither is trying to compensate the next day by eating next to nothing and/or over exercising.
But then neither is going the other way and living your life eating whatever the f**k you want, whenever you want and in whatever quantity you want.
There is a huge middle ground between those extremes where we can thrive.
You can have a healthy body that can do cool s**t, look good on the beach (and in the bedroom), and enjoy a fulfilling social life with great food.
That’s what I help my clients find, however that looks *for them*.
If you fancy the sound of that, I’ve 2 (though might be 1) space on the January 8IN8 program.
Check the link in my bio, have a read and message me if you have questions or want to get involved.
(Also I f**king hate sharing my body online but sometimes you have to be the example)
(Second also, neither of those pics are exaggerated. No forced pushing out of the belly on the left and no tensing on the right. I really was preggo-level bloated 😂)
10/12/2024
I wasn’t planning to run this again in January, but I had some interest in it so I thought f-k it, why not?
3 of the 5 spaces are gone, 2 left. 1 has already had interest.
8 IN 8 is the best 8 week fat loss program you’ve never tried.
But how is it different?
First of all..
👉🏻 You won’t be forced into poverty calories or restrictive meal plans.
👉🏻 You won’t be made to live in the gym 7x per week or do 30,000 steps. (Someone joining in Jan doesn’t even go to the gym!)
👉🏻 You won’t be called ‘lazy’, ‘useless’ or belittled when you f**k up a bit.
(Yes I’ve actually heard of that happening with other “coaches” in the industry 🥴)
So that rules out a lot of 8 week programs already.
The goal is simple: Spend 8 weeks creating solid foundations required for future success whilst dropping up to 8lbs in the process.
You’ll notice I’m not promising you the world on a golden platter.
It’s not about an end result or a seemingly incredible before and after that’s secretly built on a ruined relationship with food and exercise.
It’s about simply commiting to 8 weeks of putting the effort in the right areas.
Getting started, building momentum and establishing a foundation that becomes a safety net for the rest of your journey.
Because this is just the start of your journey, whether you continue on with me* afterwards or not.
*There will be a spot reserved at the end of 8IN8, at a special rate, for those interested since everyone so far who has worked with me for 8 weeks wanted to continue doing so afterwards 😂 - but no pressure from me whatsoever to continue*
So...
Interested in not wasting another year hoping you’ll figure it out this time?
Avoiding another set of holiday pics you secretly hate?
Another 12 months of feeling out of control with no light at the end of the tunnel?
Follow the instructions in the 3rd slide.

👆🏻Things I LOVE to see 👆🏻
Imagine going through Christmas and feeling the least stressed about food you’ve EVER felt.
🥰 Actually enjoying the holidays on your terms.
Instead of the usual ‘enjoying yourself’ but internally you’re tangoing with guilt and anxiety.
Well that was the reality for this in particular legend this year.
🧐 Now you’re wondering what the secret is? How did she manage that?
Well the plan for Christmas was simple:
👉🏻 Enjoy herself, however that looked to her.
I can’t say I was expecting to hear a reflection with this much oomph...
But I’m not surprised either.
😮💨 She’s been working really hard on her thoughts and behaviours around food for months now.
With many ups and many downs, as is ALWAYS the case.
So this is just a culmination of that effort.
🥳 I’m so proud of the work she’s done so far.
And I cant wait to see how much she’s going to smash 2024.
💬 If you want to finally take action in 2024 and get wins like this, you’re the kind of person I would love to support to achieve your goals.
👀 If you’re interested, keep an eye out because I’ve got a ridiculous opportunity coming in the new year.

Your week has not gone your way.
Your behaviours have slipped away from what you’d like.
You’ve got the chinese menu up for the second time that week. You put your order in.
Whilst checking the basket you stop for a second and think.
👉🏻 Do I actually want this?
👉🏻 Am I going to enjoy it?
👉🏻 Is this inline with my values/behaviours I want to take?
👉🏻 Or am I eating my emotions?
👉🏻 Have I let myself get too hungry and it’s affecting my decisions?
👉🏻 Is this just going to make me feel s**t after?
Sometimes, the answer will be yes to the first set of questions. In which case, crack on.
But often, it will be a fat yes to the second set of questions. That was the case for this client.
A few months ago, she likely would have gone through with it anyway and suffered what comes after.
✋🏻 But not this time. This time she shut that s**t down real quick.
Because we’d had conversations about how to handle moments like this. So she knew to ask herself certain questions before ordering, to figure out WHY she was ordering.
🤷🏼♂️ Now you won’t beat every crossroad like this (infact this same client didn’t overcome everything that went sideways that week).
But you’ll never beat any if you don’t take the time to develop the skills of checking yourself. And that takes time (and usually some good support).
If you find yourself getting stuck at these crossroads often, drop me a DM, it might be worth having a chat with me to see if I can help you like I have this client.

Imagine enjoying your birthday celebrations...
.. rather than 'enjoying' them (but actually being shot by the Guilt Gun.)
✅ That's one of the many things I help you with when you work with me.
(I also check you when you do s**t like describe a high calorie day as 'bad')
This client had been having trouble with balancing social occasions with their goals.
Often just going a bit OTT, suffering with guilt/annoyance, followed by negative reaction to the scales and then overcompensation with food restriction.
🗣️ We talked it through a lot, I gave them tools they could use in these situations and with time, they're now at the point where they can enjoy a social event, not go OTT and crack on as normal after.
So this is a great win.
💬 If you want to finally take action and get wins like this, you're the kind of person I would love to support to achieve your goals - so drop me a message and let’s get started.

You've been rather inactive and you want to change that. Hell, you've even tried.
🫣 You got your gym membership, walked through the door and got slapped in the face with gymtimidation.
Not knowing what to do, you panicked and found safety on a treadmill. Safety, but boredom.
🥲 You're sick of the treadmill. You wanted to get started with weights, to get stronger, but you just don't know where to start.
Now imagine you were given a blueprint. A blueprint that told you:
👉🏻 What exercises to do?
👉🏻 How to figure out the right weight?
👉🏻 How many reps?
👉🏻 How many sets?
👉🏻 How much rest between sets?
👉🏻 What order to do them in?
A blueprint that answered all those questions and more.
🤷🏼♂️ Well, that's what I gave Leah when she came to me.
✅ A training plan built for her, answering all the questions she had, meaning she could rock up to the gym and know exactly what to do.
👀 But thats not all, a regular strength training routine naturally started to make her more aware of her food choices; noticing the impact on her training performance (and overall energy, mood, etc) that her diet had.
💬 So if you're reading this thinking f**k me that sounds like what I need...
.. drop me a DM and we'll have a chat, because you could very well be the type of person I love to help.
