One day removed from possibly the best start to a decade for WWE in recent memory, can safely say this PPV was a solid 9/10.
Would’ve been a perfect 10 (Sorry Shawn Spears) If it weren’t for a few things, mainly:

-Charlotte Flair winning the rumble
Yes it makes sense that to push her as the “greatest female athlete in history”, she needed at least 1 rumble win. With the ending to Survivor Series which saw Shayna Baszler standing tall above Becky Lynch, this seemed like it’d be the much more likely outcome.

-Andrade vs Humberto Carillo being on the pre-show, again
Given the right amount of time and freedom these two could’ve created an early match of the year calibre match. While the mid-card titles are less prestigious now than they’ll ever be, this still seems like such a waste of talent

-Brock being, well Brock
Cesaro, Shinsuke Nakamura, Braun Strowman, heck even Keith Lee, all top-tier talent just fed to Lesnar to make him look even more dominant. While yes this ultimately made Drew’s elimination of Lesnar that much more sweeter, they also in the process pretty much completely buried Strowman, halted Keith Lee’s momentum and the IC champion aswell, which again leads to the debate of the mid-card titles

However those were all heavily outweighed by an overall good women’s rumble match, an excellent strap match between Daniel Bryan and The Fiend, and Becky Lynch finally toppling Asuka. The men’s rumble however though topped the night off with a bang.
Not only was it filled with star power as named above, it also had arguably the best and right winner in Drew McIntyre, but the biggest pop possibly of the 21st century, with the return of Edge after 9 years away from the ring, being told he was in serious danger of paralysing himself if he were to continue.

In conclusion, a great start to the new year and new decade, a great platform to kick off from, and a lot of potential match-making for the future, a solid 9/10 👊👊👊 AA
