FIRSTS | PSF #3 - Filling in for Eastwood & Kimberley FC All Stars Charity π‘β«οΈ
vs Moorgreen Colts FC Old Stars
Moorgreen Colts have had a day to remember as a wonderful atmosphere was had down at The Robert Martin Sports Ground on Saturday. All the junior teams took part in 'World Cup Day' and played out a morning of tournament football. From the small ages through to the Teens, teams from within Moorgreen competed against each other by representing a country. Well done to all who took part, it truly was fantastic to see all the happy faces playing the greatest sport in the world. Burgers were good too!
It was then the turn of the Adults. Unfortuantely, the E&K All Stars couldnt put a team out and so the Mens Firsts stepped in to ensure the celebrations continued for our partner club but to also gain some much needed minutes. Don't let the thought of 'Charity team' and 'Old Stars' fool you though... Moorgreen are a very good team and their experience told in this one as the Old Stars secured victory with a 2-1 scoreline.
Both teams had many youngsters involved and a great experience it will prove to be for them both on and off the pitch. It was an old Moorgreen Youngster now turned E&K hitman who claimed our goal whilst a current E&K U18s star claimed Moorgreen's first before a calamity at the back for E&K saw a clearance rebound into an empty net. All for the entertainment, eh.
Nonetheless, what a superb day and a fitting one for a club who should be so proud of their commitment to the area and its youngsters. Congratulations to everyone associated with Moorgreen Colts FC.

It's a partnership built on developing local talent, supporting the community and giving young footballers the opportunity to continue their journey.

Β£52,236.88 Raised... and we're not stopping there! ππ€
Friday night's charity match added another Β£490 to our fundraising total, taking Eastwood & Kimberley All Stars to an incredible Β£52,236.88 raised for charity.
What started as a group of lads wanting to play football and give something back has grown into something we could only have dreamed of. Reaching over Β£52,000 is a massive milestone and shows what can be achieved when a community gets behind a good cause.
Friday's game was all about supporting Caine Lee ahead of his Great North Run for Cancer Research UK, and we're proud to have been able to play a small part in helping him on that journey.
The football will always be competitive, but the real victories happen off the pitch. Every game gives us another chance to make a difference, and we'll keep pushing to raise as much as we possibly can.

βοΈ MATCH REPORT | EASTWOOD & KIMBERLEY ALL STARS 3-4 FRENBOT βοΈ
π The Dale Club | π‘οΈ 33Β°C
What a day for football! With temperatures reaching 33Β°C, this was always going to be a real test for both sides. The scorching heat made every sprint, tackle and recovery that little bit tougher, but both teams gave absolutely everything from the first whistle until the last.
The game itself was a fantastic contest, played in great spirits, with plenty of chances created at both ends. Unfortunately, we came out on the wrong side of a 4-3 scoreline, so congratulations to Frenbot on taking the win. They took their opportunities well and deserve credit for their performance.
For us, Gibbo continued his brilliant goalscoring form with two goals, while Caine Lee scored our third. It was a fitting moment as this game was all about supporting Caine ahead of his incredible challenge of running the Great North Run in aid of Cancer Research UK. Seeing him get on the scoresheet on such a special day made it even more memorable.
If there's one frustration from the afternoon, it's that we simply didn't take enough of our chances. On another day, with a bit more composure in front of goal, we honestly believe we could have scored nine or even ten goals. Football can be cruel at times, but we'll take the positives and keep improving.
Most importantly, today wasn't just about the football. It was about coming together as a community to support one of our own. Thanks to everyone's incredible generosity, we raised an amazing Β£490 for Caine's Cancer Research UK fundraiser. Every single donation is hugely appreciated and will help support an amazing cause.
A massive thank you to everyone who came down to watch, donated, volunteered and supported the event. These are the days that remind us why this club exists - bringing people together, enjoying football and raising as much money as possible for charity.
We'll dust ourselves off, learn from the result and go again.
