I would just like to say what an honour it was for me to speak at the NHSBT Donor Recognition Award Ceremony yesterday 29-01-2025. Everyone at the event was very supportive, I was quite nervous throughout my talk but only I was aware of this. It was difficult to talk about the 19th July 2000 but I think the main points regarding donors was covered and their feedback afterwards was amazing to receive. 
There is so much more I could have said but receiving 80 units of blood and swimming across the North Channel with 4 other amputees says it all.
