Open to all swimmers of all abilities.

One event for the youngest is the Penguin Jump from the side of the pool into the water. That's it.. And everyone goes crazy cheering.

Races for competitive parents too.

Swimming Gala 2025: Family Sign-up Saturday 8 November, 6 - 9 pm Bingham Swimming Pool, Mercia Court, Chapel Ln, Bingham, Nottingham NG13 8QX Complete this page with family details, and then one additional page for each swimmer.

This morning our youngest swimmers enjoyed a Lunar New Year themed session. Dragon tag, a snake sinker game, learning different leg movements based around snakes and frogs, and floating lanterns (different float shapes) to finish. The fortune cookie tuck float was very popular, we loved the children's fortune telling too!!

A million thank yous to everyone who helped to make the gala so much fun: amazing swimmers; supportive (and perhaps just slightly competitive) parents; passionate teachers; dedicated volunteers. Even the lifeguards said it was the most enjoyable gala they'd ever seen.

This is a club for the people, by the people and with the people. We are family!

Updated running order for the gala tonight...

Say hello to three new members of the club. They will be making their first appearance at the gala tonight.

This morning our stage 1 swimmers went to the circus 🎪. We did animal movements to warm up, then made acrobat floating shapes, and became human canons to practice our push and glide across the pool, finally doing trapeze jumps and clown car races using our big floats. We currently have spaces in our stage 1 classes for new swimmers to start, and we take children from 4-4.5. Please contact [email protected] to arrange a trial.

Our swimming gala is next saturday 7 December.

There are events for all including
* "penguin jump" for beginners
* 10m races (with floats) for those developing confidence
* range of full length races.

There are also lots of fun races including one for the competitive parents, a t-shirt race, inflatables (peacock, llama, duck, lobster, skate and crocodile) and our famous "All Comers Relay" to end the evening.

Tragically two of our most loved friends have suffered fatal injuries so won't be joining us at the gala next Saturday.
