The Adobe Women’s FA Cup 🏆 Returns to Greenwich Avenue this Sunday.

Matt Wheatcroft’s Ambers are back in action Sunday in the FA Cup as we take on Stanground Cardea Sports Ladies at home in the second round qualifier.

Basford United Ladies Development Team also played in their first league match at home today.

This is a brand new side for the season managed by David Harper and assisted by Simon Warwick and Gary Ball.

Against all the odds as we only had 12 players today and carry a couple of injuries as well but the development team came away with a fantastic 4-0 win over Radcliffe Olympic FC.

3 points on the road for Basford United Ladies First team today at Oakham United Women in the league.

Basford United Ladies were winning 2-0 at the break and in total control. Second half we started really well again but we missed so many opportunities to score.

Two quick goals on the break from Oakham second half made the game 2-2 against the run of play, but fair play to Oakham.

At 2-2 it was game on for both teams.

However, Basford United Ladies picked up from where they left off and dominated the game again and we managed to get the winning goal.

A solid team / squad performance today from every player secured a place in the next FA Cup draw.

A fantastic 5-0 win against Higham Town Women

9 players making their debut for the first time for Basford United Ladies First team at competitive level and 5 of them only 16 coming from junior football and 6 of them at the age of 16.

Goals on their debut for Mimi Wheatcroft and Millie Edwards.

Man of the match as voted by the opposition our number 10 Charlie Duthie.
