Today saw our first weekend of county trials 📸💪

With our Boys Under 13s & 14s trials taking place at Trentham Academy

As well as all of our Girls groups at Chase Park 📸

This is the first of a series of weekend of trial dates, so if your junior couldn't make it this week, or wants to come to the next one, please message! 🙌

They will need to be registered for county on ClubBuzz (link in our bio) 💪

COUNTY TRIAL DATES 📣🏑

It's that exciting time of the year, county trials! We will be running all of our trials for Staffordshire County Hockey over the next three Sundays 🔥

13th & 20th September - All age group girls trials, all taking place at Cannock Chase Park

13th & 20th September - U13/U14 Boys at Trentham Academy

20th & 27th September - U15/U16/U17 at Willenhall E-Act Academy

If you/your child would like to come to the trials just follow the top link in our bio and sign up 🙌

You must be signed up to attend, any questions just send us a message or email [email protected] or speak to your clubs junior development officer 💪

Trials/training is £6 an hour (£12 for two hours)

The squads will be selected after both trials ☺️

*Unique Umpire Opportunity for Under 23s*

Midlands young umpiring are seeking young umpires (U23) across the area

They are looking to identify talented young umpires and give them additional opportunities to that which they would normally see at club level such as competitions and coaching.

The hope is that this benefits both the area and the clubs, as young umpires will receive more training and feedback than they normally would at a club level. They are also happy to work around any playing commitments that any candidate would have to their current club/county.

North Stafford Hockey Club are holding a series of pre-season junior training days that are being held at Trentham Academy later in August.

£25 for the day, open to members and non members to attend, aimed at players going into Year 8 and above.

Coaching delivered by coaches from the club including Staffordshire coaches Kevin Heath (Tuesday 18th only) & Dave Washington.

Good luck 🍀 to Staffordshire U15 boys who are competing at the National County Championships all weekend 🏑🌞.

Yesterday Boys played Hampshire in a thrilling game. We played really well and were winning 2-1 with about 6 to go. We should have scored more, but they also could have scored. They scored a fabulous equaliser with some great technical work, we went for the winner. Got done on a counter attack which led to corner given against us. Which they scored from at the third attempt. With 3 minutes to go, we threw everything at them. Which led to us winning a penalty stroke with the last attack of the game. Sadly we hit the post. A draw would have been a fair result.

Good Luck 🍀 to Staffordshire U15 girls who are competing at the National County Championships all weekend 🏑

Today the girls lost their first match 4-2 however turned it around winning 5-2 in the 2nd! 👏👏
