2026 English National Tug of War Chapmipnships - Live Stream - Saturday 20 June Live coverage of the 2026 National Outdoor Tug of War Championships...

Today we went up to Sandhurst Tug of War Club’s competition.

We started the day off with a rather light catch weight team to warm the boys up for the day finishing 3rd.

Next was the 580kg, pulled in a straight group we didn’t drop an end, winning the weight🥇

The 680kg was rather like the catch, being very light! Finishing up 4th out of 6.

Next was 600kg, we got back to winning ways after again not dropping an end 🥇

The last men’s weight was the 640kg, going 1-1 with Oxney Vines Cross TOWC we finished on even points but lost out to a caution 🥈

We finished the day in the mixed 580kg alongside Bedford Ladies Tug of War with another 🥈

We have a week off next weekend, travelling to Kendal for the Nationals on the 19th of June!

In other news we’re pleased to announce Anstey Young Farmers will be hosting a local competition before Hi Viz Hillbillies!

Today we travelled up the road to Felton Eccles Tug Of War Club near Bristol Airport!

We started the day with the 580kg, this was pulled as a straight 8 and we finished 🥇

Next was the 680kg, again this was a straight 8! Going an end a piece with Norton Tug of War left us in second after having 1 more caution than them🥈

The 600kg was split into 2 groups, topping our group we met Oxney Vines Cross TOWC in the final but pushing them out to come away with 🥇

The last men’s weight was the 640kg and again a straight 8! With a clean sweep we finished 🥇

We finished the day with Bedford Ladies Tug of War in the mixed 580kg, coming out on top 🥇

Another busy weekend‼️🏆🏆

We started the weekend off by heading to a well supported Devon county show making it 8 consecutive wins! 🥇🏆

Today we travelled to a rather warm Cressage in Shropshire for the AAA’s (Amateur Athletics Association) competition, a prestigious event dating back about 100 years!

We started the day with the AAA’s 640kg - after a draw with Norton Tug of War we finished on even points, both winning our semi meeting again in the final. But after 2 tough ends we came out winners! This is the first time a team from Area 8 (Devon and Cornwall) have ever won this🥇🏆

Next was the open 600kg, topping our group meeting Bosley Tug of War Club for another tough final but again coming out on top 🥇

The last men’s weight was the 680kg, we weighed in a whopping 37kg light. We managed to sneak through the group finding ourselves in yet another final! This time meeting Bedfordshire Tow for a third tough final and again coming out on top! 🥇

We finished the day putting in a pair of 4x4 teams in with Bedford Ladies Tug of War finishing first and second! 🥇🥈

Day 2 at TTV VIOS Bison 🦬

We started the day putting in two mixed 4x4 teams alongside Bedford Ladies Tug of War, both pulled very well against some very tough competition but didn’t manage it out their respective groups.

In the afternoon we pulled the 640kg with a whopping 40 teams split into 4 groups of 10! Lots of valuable pulling winning some tough ends. Big thank you to Harry from Bosley and Olly & David from G&B 🤝

Day 1 at TTV VIOS Bison 🦬

Today we pulled the Men’s 600kg.

Finishing up joint third in the group we are extremely proud of all our lads! Fielding a full Anstey side and making an amazing account of ourselves! From our Group Stans Oberdorf and Vensse boys won their semi finals with Stans winning overall, pleased to say we went 1 a piece with both teams and not losing 2 ends to a team all day!

Tomorrow we pull the mixed 4x4 alongside Bedford Ladies Tug of War in the morning and then the 640kg in the afternoon.
