This September we’re partnering with Re-Cycle (Bikes to Africa) who collect and donate bikes to communities in Africa to help people access school, work and healthcare.
Every year, thousands of bikes across the UK are abandoned, left unused or sent to landfill. By collecting and reusing these bicycles, we can help reduce waste, support sustainable transport and create opportunities for people both in the UK and overseas.
If you’ve got an old bike that you no longer use that you’d like to donate, please drop it at our workshop (behind the Women’s Centre) on one of our drop-off dates.
Note: we’re looking for complete bikes, not parts, but bikes that are too old and rusty for UK cyclists’ tastes and which have less than 25% rust on the frame are still welcome.
