Not that we're competetive, but... we're getting a bit addicted to the !
We've signed up, and are logging our daily sustainable travel journeys. True, we already did a lot of cycling, but it's great to see the cash and carbon we're saving by making journeys by bike.
It's great to see our local friends in sustainable transport such as RideWise embracing the challenge too. Let's keep putting our best foot, pedal, and wheel forward together (and can we add kayaking for Sarah please?!).
There's still time to sign up, here:

Our beginner friendly bike rides are starting on 8th May. This series of rides, funded by Cycling UK's Big Bike Revival, is perfect for new and returning cyclists. We'll go at a very steady pace, you can borrow a bike, and we'll treat everyone to a cuppa and a snack. The first ride goes from our workshop in the city centre, through parks and quiet streets up and around the Forest Recreation ground then back. This ride is open to women and non-binary folk. You can find out more information and book your place here: https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/a-beginner-friendly-bike-ride-to-the-forest-recreation-ground-tickets-1987673104763?aff=ebdsoporgprofile

Rose and Maya visited the workshop last month and have captured our community ethos so well in their article. As they say, even if you haven't ridden in years, you can join us, no pressure, just encouragement.

Weβre pleased to announce a programme of cycling events for 2026 aimed at new and returning riders. Funded by Cycling UK, the Big Bike Revival aims to support adults to start cycling, return after a break, or cycle more often. Weβve put together a programme of activities to help get you out on your bike, starting with a free Dr Bike session at our workshop on 12th April, where you can get your bike checked over and ready to ride! Lily will be in the workshop, offering free safety checks, advice, and simple fixes. Slots are approximately 20mins each and are open to everyone. You can book your place here: https://womenintandem.us5.list-manage.com/track/click?u=e3522481a27ceb50ea4304550&id=ac29ee28dd&e=26159e1966
Further Big Bike Revival events will include group lessons, beginner-friendly rides, and open to all maintenance classes. Follow us on EventBrite to keep up to date!
