Unlicensed traders who dump rubbish illegally ruin our neighbourhoods and take money away from public services like schools, parks and social care. We’ve launched #FightFlyTipping Fortnight to protect the places we love and stop criminals from trashing them. Here’s how you can help ⤵️ If you see a cheap deal on social media that looks too good to be true, don’t fall for it. Unless they have a licence, you’ll be paying for a criminal to dump your stuff illegally. Take three simple steps before agreeing to a waste collection 1. Ask for a waste carrier registration number 2. Check it on the Environment Agency’s public register (or call 0300 065 3000) 3. Check you’ll get a receipt Protect yourself. Protect your community. A Game Show Where Disability Takes Centre Stage!

Fresh from the Edinburgh Fringe, Blue Badge Bunch is a hilarious, hands-on game show where the audience takes centre stage! Hosted by comedian Benny Shakes, this interactive experience invites you to try challenges like drawing with your feet, making lunch one-handed, and more.

This inclusive event flips the script, showing how disability can be a source of strength, humour, and connection. Whether you’re disabled, non-disabled, or somewhere in between, come and join the fun where disadvantage becomes an advantage. For ages 7+

📚 We're already seeing lots of Summer Reading Challenge finishers across our Nottingham City Libraries - a massive congratulations to everyone who's completed it so far! 📚

Don't forget to keep visiting the library to collect your stickers - children who read 6 books will get a certificate and an invite to a special medal ceremony. 🏅

🌟 And now for some fun stats! 🌟

So far, we've had 1423 readers sign up to the Summer Reading Challenge, with a whopping 4408 books borrowed across out library service. If we stacked those books up, they would reach 88m tall, which is about the same as 29 african elephants stood on top of each other. Phew! 🐘
