After a long pre-season and a slightly delayed start to our campaign, we’re more than ready to get the 2026/27 season underway!

This Sunday we welcome Boston RFC to Mellish for our first game of the season and we can’t wait to finally get back out on the pitch together.

We are incredibly proud to announce that Laceys Floors & Walls has won the Charitable Initiative Award at the Contract Flooring Journal Awards 2026!

The award recognises the work carried out on a very special project for the Broxtowe Women's Project Ltd in Eastwood, Nottingham.

It was a privilege to be involved in a project that will make a genuine difference to women and families within our local community, and we’re delighted that the work has been recognised by the industry.

We are deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Roger Bexon.

Roger was a huge part of the Mellish family and will be remembered as a true gentleman. He was always a pleasure to be around, brought a smile to everyone’s face, and was an absolute diamond on the karaoke. Roger lived life to the fullest and was a fantastic supporter of the women’s section, always encouraging us and supporting us both on and off the pitch.

He will be greatly missed by everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.

Our thoughts are with his wife, Angela, and all of Roger’s family and friends at this incredibly difficult time.

RIP Roger 🖤💚💛

After 14 incredible years leading our Women's Rugby team, our Head Coach Matt is stepping down.

Over the past 14 years, he has played an enormous part in the growth and development of our women's section, dedicating countless hours both on and off the pitch. His passion, commitment and leadership have helped shape the team into what it is today, and for that we are incredibly grateful.

While it is never easy to say goodbye to someone who has given so much to the club but on behalf of everyone at Mellish, we'd like to thank him for his unwavering dedication, the memories he's helped create, and the lasting impact he's had on our players and our community throughout the years.

We wish him nothing but the very best for whatever comes next, and he will always be a valued part of our club family.
