Our far-est far country members, New Zealanders Chris and Jenny Clarke, won the New Zealand AC Mixed Doubles Championship yesterday, beating Miranda Chapman and Greg Bryant +3, +16 in a toughly contested best of three final . Remarkably, this was their first time entering as a pair. 5/5 and a new achievement together. (Miranda and her husband Paddy are much missed former members of our club.)

Best wishes to James for a fantastic AC Worlds.
James is a long term member of our club, one of our most accomplished members, having started here as a toddler. Now based at Cheltenham so we see less of him,
Listen to him on radio Gloucestershire from 52'45" into this programme.
James Death [England] tells all on BBC Gloucestershire, explaining what Croquet means at the World Championships. Listen at 52:45 where James talks about 'the big one'. He's got the Club Championship title, the County, the Country and even the European. Is this his year to get the elusive World title?

We had two delightful guests recently, Dennis and Victoria, who mainly enjoy running but were trying out croquet for fun. They had a great time and posted on Instagram here https://www.instagram.com/werunnotts/reel/DOAoMsPiNMw/?hl=en
