On the 26th August we celebrated our 1st anniversary 🎉🥳
It’s been a whirlwind 🌪️ of a year - We started out in Introduction to Football course in Summer 2022, entered the NGLFL in January 2023 and have gone onto win 3 tournaments together this summer!! 🏆🏆🏆 onwards and upwards Rockets 🚀🚀

On Tuesday 20th October at the Trevor Carter Pavilion, one of our female coaches hosted a talk about periods and the menstrual cycle in football/sport.
Some of our girls attended this event.

This was a great chance for the girls and the coaches to learn about periods in football and how the girls will feel during this time.

There is a worrying statistic that 33% of girls age 12-14 will drop out of sports and one of the reasons for this is due to feeling uncomfortable about their body and periods.

We want our players to feel empowered and have the knowledge and support about how to track their menstrual cycle, make advised decisions and continue playing football.

We’ve also introduced a period care pack into our kitbags in case any players need access to these during football.
