We are delighted to announce the signing of Attacking Midfielder Charlie Gill following his departure from EFL League One side Notts County Football Club

Charlie has made several first team appearances for Notts County and is one of the most exciting prospects around and we can’t wait to see him at the Avenue.

Basford United Ladies First Team and U23’s Development Team

Basford United Ladies are delighted to announce registration is now open for their First Team and U23 Development Team trial dates throughout June.

We are looking for dedicated, ambitious and talented players to help us achieve our goal of promotion from first team tier 6 to tier 5 and like wise u23’s development team promotion from tier 7 to tier 6.

First team will be playing the Women’s FA Cup, both teams will be the Nottinghamshire Women’s County Cup and both teams in their respective league cups too.

In turn, we can offer you high quality training twice a week and first class 4G match day stadium facilities. We have dedicated and UEFA qualified coaches, player/game analysis via Veo - every game is recorded and a commitment to developing you as a player to be the best you can be.

Basford United Manager Martin Carruthers is delighted to announce that after an outstanding end to the 2025/26 season academy graduate Dameer Rose has been offered and accepted a 1 year contract with the club with a further year option.

Following Dameer meeting with club owner Chris Munroe to complete the signing Chris stated;

“We as Basford United are delighted to offer Dameer a Pro Contract, Our continued belief in our group and youngsters further demonstrates the Pathway from youth to full-time Academy, to eventual 1st team is tried and tested, and is one we firmly believe in, constantly continuing to deliver results and success stories”

“With Basford sending two youngsters back to the pro clubs this past season, in Jack Goodman (Mansfield Town FC) and Covarne Leon (Sheffield United FC) then this has been a long line of success stories”

“With this year’s new intake of DLFC and BUFC U16s groups of a very high quality, we expect to offer contracts to many others over the next few years and see them in our 1st team or newly formed reserve side”
