Basford United wish to confirm that we do not condone acts of improper conduct as witnessed by fans last evening. The club wish to apologise to both Bedworth United and our own fans for the events just prior to the end of game. The club will await the refereeโ€™s report, survey VEO footage and conduct an internal enquiry and deal with the outcome in an appropriate manner.

The player will be suspended from playing until the club and FAโ€™s investigations have concluded and we will cooperate fully with the FA and any further investigations or sanctions they deem necessary to impose on the player.
