🧡Outlaw Half Nottingham 2026🧡

A busy weekend for UON tri as we had athletes competing across both days !

In the Sprint, Dev squad athlete Hannah Shepperson placed 2nd place in her age group securing her place at 2027 World Age Sprint Champs!

In the Half, UON Sport Scholar Cormac Nisbet placed 1st and Thomas Atkinson from Absolute tri placed 2nd! Out very own Josh Geary had a fantastic middle distance debut despite some challenges in the build up placing 26th overall! The fastest woman was Brooke Taylor placing 26th! Dev squad athletes Conor and Nick’s sprint finish was a crowd favourite!

Well done to all athletes especially Conor, Mili, Olivia, Peter and Em whose first middle distance race it was!

BUCS SPRINT 🏊🚴🏃

33 triathletes from UoN travelled down to Westonbirt House for the BUCS Sprint Triathlon and Mixed Team Relay Championships, taking on a 400m swim, 23km bike, and 5km run! 🏊‍♂️🚴‍♀️🏃‍♂️

Fantastic work from everyone, with special mentions to Finlay, Jack S, Becky, Maddy, Kate, Chidera, and Lenny, who all completed their first triathlon! 🌟

Special mentions also go to Ollie Hitchcock and Izzy Price, who recorded the fastest Open and Female times respectively. From the General squad, Woody and Isla also secured the fastest Open and Female times! 💨

BUCS SILVER

A superb effort from the team retained our 2nd place in BUCS triathlon mixed team relay - a race consisting of back to back mini triathlons!

BUCS Silver 🥈

3 great individual performances from Ollie Hitchcock (6th), Ollie Mills (8th) and Josh (9th) managed to stop Lboro domination by placing 2nd with an accumulated time of 2:47:31!

BUCS BRONZE 🥉

After a fantastic effort from Hannah (11th), Izzy, (6th) and Imogen (10th) they came 3rd with an accumulated time of 3:14:55!

Performance Assessment 26

The weekend kicked off with a swim TT in our very own DRSV before moving to Kendrew barracks on the Sunday for a pursuit start bike-run, a great way to get the season started! Standout performances from Oscar Newbery 11th in Junior Open, in senior men 2nd for Oliver Mills 🥈
and 8th for Oliver Hitchcock and for the Junior/Senior Female 7th for Hannah Kennedy! Keep an eye out for our athletes at Round 2 in Llanelli tomorrow!
