Congratulations, Amelia! 🎉
A fantastic achievement winning the Nett U21 Girls Major on the Rob Brock Junior Golf Tour at The Hallamshire Golf Club on Tuesday. Despite the very hot conditions, you played brilliantly, also finishing 3rd in the Gross competition.
A solid +7 overall, overcoming two difficult holes on the front nine before producing an impressive level-par back nine. It sounds like a great day of golf all round.
Well done also to your playing partners, Jorja Newbold and Deonne Pyatt. Keep up the excellent work, Amelia! ⛳👏🏆

🎉NORWOOD GOLF RAISES £16,000 FOR CHARITABLE CAUSES🎉
Norwood Golf Club celebrated a remarkable year of fundraising as Past Captains Linda Rushmere and Adam Brisenden presented charity cheques to representatives from Lincolnshire & Nottinghamshire Air Ambulance and Beaumond House Hospice yesterday
Donations were also made to TOFS (Tracheo-Oesophageal Fistula Support), the Norwood Staff Charity, and Norwood Junior Golf Development, bringing the total amount raised throughout the year to an outstanding £16,000.
The fundraising effort was supported by a wide range of events and challenges organised during the captains’ year. Among the notable contributions was Junior Captain Thomas Bamford, who raised more than £2,000 through his own fundraising by playing 72 holes in a day. Unfortunately, Thomas was unable to attend the presentation as he was competing in a regional qualifying tournament.
Linda Rushmere also undertook a demanding Speed Golf Challenge, which generated in excess of £2,000 towards the overall total.
Representatives from the beneficiary charities attended the cheque presentation and expressed their sincere gratitude to the club, its members, sponsors, volunteers, and everyone who supported the fundraising initiatives throughout the year.
Norwood Golf Club would like to thank all those who contributed to this tremendous achievement, which will help support the vital work carried out by these worthy organisations and continue investment in the club’s junior golf development programme 🙏🏼
