A reminder that the bowling/karaoke social kicks off @ 12 noon at Roxy Lanes, Bottle Lane (just off from the Waterstones near the Pit & Pendulum).

Re: parking, especially for our newer rockers...

With Thursday classes especially finishing somewhat later in the evening - 9:30pm - we want to help make sure that everyone returns home perfectly safe. We'll eventually get back to a time in the year when things become rather dark around that time.

A few questions for everyone:

1. How far are you finding you are having to walk from your car to the Sherwood venue (The Place Activity Centre)?

2. Do you come to class by yourself and find yourself walking alone to the car after class? Would you like a group where people coordinate to arrive/leave together?

3. As far as I'm aware the nearest public, free, parking place for Sherwood is the Wi******er St car park, which is 5 minute's walk away. Do you know of any more convenient alternatives?

4. Monday rockers - how are you finding the car parking situation outside the venue? It's a big car park, but still gets quite full at times. Is there anything you can share about your experience that it might be helpful for newer people to know?

I'm always looking for ways to make getting to class as hassle-free and enjoyable as possible, please never hold back on suggestions or feedback - I will welcome your thoughts every time! 🙏

'The One Where We Blessed The Rains'

First we discovered that the studio had been GLORIOUSLY upgraded with a half-dozen wall-mounted fan units (SO WELCOME!), then we were gifted with a lovely summery rain to spritz us down post-class (kind of, lol). ☔

It was a welcome spritzing indeed after an intense class of *yet more* new tracks - and also we somehow made Cha Cha Cha piratical 🏴‍☠️ 🦜??? "Cha Cha Chyaaaaar!!!" 💪

And a ma-hoosive Monday Night Mapperley welcome to our latest awesome rockers, Hannah, Kate and Sarah! Instantly became part of the group and brought a great energy into the room ⚡

There is still ONE SPACE left for the bowling / karaoke social this Saturday (however anyone who wants to do the bowling only, or to hang out later is also welcome!) Please let me know if you'd like to come along. 👌

It's our *last* ever Friday class @ St Jude's Church, Mapperley this evening - 8pm!

Going forth/proceeding hencewith/following forwards we shall be instead rocking our third weekly class @ The Place Sherwood - just like on Wednesdays, but at a slightly later start time of 8:30pm. (We will need to be respectful of the Pilates class that finishes at 8:15pm 🙏)

In other news, this coming bank holiday Monday class at Mapperley Plains Social Club & Recreation Centre will be rocking as usual - 7:45pm. 🤘
