Good morning all,

Hope you’re all keeping well.

We have recently launched an online talent competition in partnership with AJ Sports for young people under 25. Anyone in the city can enter this competition.

Nottingham City Homes wants to support new emerging Nottingham talent by giving young people in the city something more meaningful for them to be involved in.

We’re looking singers, rappers, beat makers, DJ’s, poets and anyone that plays an instrument to enter the competition.

We would be really grateful if you can share at the attached flyer with your group members and also on your Social Media accounts, so we can generate as much interested as we can from our younger residents in Nottingham!

Obviously, we have had to cancel our next meeting on Monday 20 April, which we were expecting Tony Brown, the council's head of street cleaning in our area, to attend. At the moment, we don't know when our meetings will be able to resume but, when they do, we still hope to get Tony along so, if, you do have any questions or requests about street cleaning, please send them to [email protected] for Councillor Matsiko to pass on.

Friday's collection was gratefully received by St Ann’s Advice Centre. We will be collecting again on Friday afternoon from Carrington & Sherwood. If you have any donations of non-perishable items message me and we will collect from your doorstep. Hello all. Wonder if I could get help spreading word of the below:

CARRINGTON, SHERWOOD, MAPPERLEY: LET'S UNITE!
Easter is just around the corner...but it will look very different this year.

We want to try and share the joy of Easter and bring church and the wider community in Carrington, Sherwood and Mapperley together.

Some of you may have seen a video doing the rounds of various Hollywood celebrities each singing a line of John Lennon's 'Imagine. 'https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0fDIZj9BX9U

We'll avoid making any comment about it....!

What we as churches would like to do is produce our own version of the Easter hymn 'Thine Be The Glory.' This would involve anyone in the community singing a part of the hymn which would be edited together and shared on Easter day. We hope it might speak to Christians of the power of Easter and really bring a sense of joy and hope throughout the community.

If you'd like to get involved: you’re up for it, can you:
