Annual football tournament raising funds for Nottingham women’s centre in memory of Tara Newbold

Home | Localgiving 29/07/2026

As you may be aware we have had to take a year off the raffle. Thank you to those that have messaged us asking to donate anyway - we are really touched by this πŸ’œ link for you to do so.

The Nottingham Women's Centre will also be running the usual drinks, snacks and games stall.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR ALL PLAYERS and anyone attending Women United 2026.

The Forest Sports Zone has undertaken some improvements as a result they have some strict rules around footwear on the playing surface. This will apply to anyone going into the surface, so any managers / supporters that are intending to go onto the surface will also need to follow the rules. The staff on site will be monitoring on the day too.

Below is the message we have been sent from the sports zone in full:

This is a message from Nottingham Forest Community Trust

Dear Facility Users, As we welcome back our valued customers to use our new 3G pitch, please be aware of our footwear requirements to help protect the playing surface and ensure its longevity. βœ… Permitted footwear: Moulded studs Short screw-in studs Short blades Hybrid stud/blade boots ❌ Not permitted: Astro/turf (dimple sole) boots Flat-soled footwear Metal studs We also ask that all users put their boots on before entering the pitch area and change back into their regular footwear after exiting the pitch. This will help keep the surface clean and in the best possible condition. Thank you for your cooperation and support in maintaining our new facility. Forest Sports Zone Management

Rough times below, once we get to the knock out stage things can move depending on draws and penalties!! But as always we will do our best to run to schedule.

The after party however is locked in! Everyone welcome but an idea of numbers will be great so we can reserve an area for us all. The Shamrock Social has live music from 6, food and a huge drinks selection! Hope to see some of you there (medals welcome too!)

30/06/2026

Deadline tomorrow!! We have just contacted teams that have yet to pay, please do contact us / make payment today.

We will be ordering medals and trophies, finalising referees and fixtures (& have some holidays ourselves too in July!)

Thanks all, looking forward to seeing you all on August 1st. πŸ₯‡

πŸ“£ As per your requests we are extending the payments date to JULY 1st. All team payments must be made by this date to secure your place at Women United 2026.

Individual players can be added on after this date. We just need the commitment before buying medals and trophies and organising the fixtures (we have holidays in July to work around too!)

We have had one team pay without leaving their name, we do know who made the payment though so if you can message us direct that will be great (it was the 11th June)

Any teams still left to pay please get in touch asap. We will be looking to fill any slots to those on our waiting list and want to secure all payments before we place any orders for trophies and medals as well as finalising the referees.
