🔰UoNAF Hall of Fame (Class of 2025)🔰

Inductee: Simon Stockwell, ATH (2015-2023)

Playing both defensive and offensive line throughout his time at UoN, Simon Stockwell has been inducted into the UoNAF Hall of Fame Class of 2025.

Following two years of junior football, Simon arrived at UoN and began his career at defensive end, before moving inside to play defensive tackle, where he spent the majority of his career in a run-stuffing nose tackle role, causing havoc for offensive blocking schemes trying to counteract him. Simon also spent a long time on special teams, both as long snapper and holder when necessary. He was respected on and off the field, as team captain for the first national final in 2022, as well as club treasurer and president, as well as a handful of other committee roles.

His career ended as the second most capped player in UoNAF history, falling just two games short of tying the record set by OL Rob Stone (HoF Class of 2023), but cementing his legacy within in club. He has now taken up the mantle of club broadcaster and commentator, running the livestreaming setup for the club since his retirement in 2023.

🔰UoNAF Hall of Fame - Class of 2025🔰

Inductee: Lewis Thomas

OL, 2016 - 2023: A stalwart on the offensive line, anchoring multiple positions over the years, Lewis Thomas has been inducted into the UoNAF Hall of Fame Class of 2025. Having played junior football, Lewis came to UoN and immediately began contributing on the offensive line. Lewis was part of the 2017 D1 championship squad, as well as representing the club in multiple national finals as both player and captain. Lewis has one of the lowest rates of pressures allowed all-time at UoN, cementing his place amongst the best players to come through the program. His continual work and high level of play allowed him to spent multiple seasons abroad at the highest levels of European football, with the Hamburg Sea Devils, Milano Seamen. He has most recently represented the GB Men’s Program, as well as the Paris Musketeers in the ELF.

🔰 Introducing the UoNAF Hall of Fame 🔰
We’re honoured to announce our first-ever inductee: Ben Davis.

Ben Davis - RB, Coach 2008 - 2017: Beginning his time at the club as a Fullback, Ben Davis would come to epitomise the loyalty and effort at the heart of Nottingham’s football team. A career ending injury suffered early into his football career meant that Ben looked to contribute to the club beyond the field. While on crutches, he learned how to coach his former teammates at a time when there were only 2 other coaches on the offensive side of the ball - Ben began his coaching career in charge of the running backs. Over time, and as the head coaching roll changed hands, Ben would help contribute to the coaching staff any way he could, sticking with the team long after his graduation. This meant coaching TEs under Justin Smith (HoF Class of 2018) before shifting over to defence to coach LBs and becoming Defensive Coordinator under Phil Wood (Hof Class of 2019). Reflecting their coach, Nottingham’s defence sought constant improvement and by his final year were running rampant smashing teams across the country on their way to conceding the fewest points in history in the 2016/17 regular season. Over his decade of service to the club Ben Davis demonstrated his passion, commitment and loyalty every time he stood on the sideline and helped drive the club on to the standards it has achieved today.
