This parcel of land is one of the best preserved examples of medieval ridge and furrow farming in the country. The undulations on Keyworth's Rectory Field are still clearly visible and add a certain 'je ne sais quoi' to kata practice!

Club members have just enjoyed a fantastic weekend of karate.

On Saturday morning the Karate Union of Great Britain delivered its annual kata standardisation course at Loughborough University under the instruction of Sensei Frank Brennan 8th dan. In the afternoon the organisation's annual general meeting took place where the executive committee and representatives from affiliated clubs ventilated issues arising out of the preceding 12 months.

On Sunday Matthew and Heidi were at Solihull Karate Academy for the KUGB's referees and judges course whilst the rest of the club met for regular training at our Keyworth dojo!

Take action, get involved.

The Karate Union of Great Britain's National Championship yesterday wasn't just about the kicking and punching, or even the 60th anniversary, it was about enduring friendships forged in the dojo.

Sensei Manning and former club member Sensei Jen Prendergast, now the chair of USKF Ireland, caught up at the event.
