✨ A little look back at our BBO Dance Day! ✨ bbodance

We had an amazing day with our Junior and Senior dancers yesterday, and we were incredibly lucky to welcome two fantastic industry professionals to work with our students. 🩰✨

Rachel English is a Ballet Teacher and Physical Therapist at Elmhurst Ballet School, and previously danced with the Birmingham Royal Ballet. Rachel brought a wealth of professional ballet experience to the day, sharing her knowledge, expertise and passion with our dancers. 🩰

Rhys worked as an Assistant Choreographer on Paddington The Musical, and their performance credits include starring in musicals such as & Juliet, Just For One Day and Why Am I So Single? 🎭 Rhys brought professional performance and choreography experience to the studio, inspiring our dancers and giving them a fantastic insight into the world of musical theatre and professional dance.

It was a real privilege to have Rachel and Rhys with us, and for our students to spend time learning from two professionals working in different areas of the industry.

These are the experiences we want to give our dancers, opportunities to learn, ask questions, challenge themselves and see where dance can take them. ❤️

A huge thank you to Rachel and Rhys for an incredible day, and to all of our Junior and Senior dancers for throwing themselves into every workshop!

What a brilliant first Adult Tap session we had! 💃🏼✨
It was so lovely to meet some new faces and see such a lovely group of women come together, have a laugh and most importantly give it a go! ❤️
There were plenty of taps, a few wobbles, lots of giggles and some seriously impressive determination!

Whether you’ve tapped before or you’re a complete beginner, this class is all about having fun, learning something new and enjoying a bit of time for YOU.

With so many new students and followers joining us across Bingham, Hykeham and Collingham, I thought it was time to reintroduce myself. ❤️

And if you’re currently sitting on the fence about joining our dance school, this is a little glimpse of who you’re choosing to put your trust in.

You’re joining something where I genuinely care about your child, their confidence, their friendships, their progress and the memories they make along the way.

I’m a mum, a dance teacher, a business owner and most of the time, a woman somewhere in the middle of complete chaos! 😂

But I absolutely love what I do and I’m so proud of the little community we’re creating across all three schools.

✨ FIRST DAY BACK AT DANCE! ✨

And WOW… what a first day it’s been! 💕🩰
The studios have been full of happy faces, big smiles and LOTS of hard work!

Our dancers have been working their socks off already, getting back into routines, revisiting those technique skills and, of course, having plenty of fun along the way! 🥰

Here’s to another amazing year of dancing, growing, friendships, giggles and making memories together! 💙🩷

Tonight I’m sat labelling EVERYTHING ready for my little one starting school tomorrow… and I honestly don’t know where that time has gone! 🥹❤️

It got me thinking about all our little dancers and the many firsts we get to see alongside them, their first day at preschool, big school, secondary school, Sixth Form, University… and all the little steps in between.

Dance somehow becomes part of so many of those memories, and we’re so lucky to get to watch them grow along the way. 🩰

✨ A VERY PRODUCTIVE AFTERNOON! ✨

Yesterday was spent with Miss Eloise and Mrs Emma planning, creating and getting VERY excited for the new dance year! 🩰✨

We spent the afternoon planning our Modern classes at Collingham, including our exciting new Mini Modern, as well as our Intermediate classes at Hykeham! 💃🏼✨

Then we finished off by planning our Bassingham Primary School Drama schemes for September making sure we’re ready to hit the ground running! 🎭📚

AND our new day time Adult Tap Class at Bassingham Hammond Hall 🩷

So much exciting stuff happening behind the scenes, with lots of new ideas, music and creative projects being planned!

We cannot wait to get started in September! ❤️✨

Ms Fran spent yesterday doing some really interesting CPD with Dance, Connect & Thrive and Disability Inclusion 💜

Both sessions were so interesting, thought-provoking and full of some fantastic ideas that I can’t wait to bring into our classes and try as we head into the new dance year! 🩰✨

There’s always something new to learn, and I absolutely love continuing to develop my practice so we can make our dance schools as inclusive, welcoming and positive as possible for every child. 💕

Here’s to a new year of learning, growing and dancing! 🥰✨
