Why does our academy spend lots of time practicing floating? ๐ฆ
Safety: If you get tired, being able to float allows you to rest and breathe without constantly treading water.
Foundation for swimming skills: Most swimming strokes work best when your body is close to horizontal in the water. Learning to float helps you develop a proper body position.
Better breathing: When you can float comfortably, you can focus on controlled breathing instead of struggling to stay afloat.
Confidence in the water: Knowing you can float often reduces anxiety, making it easier to practice swimming techniques.

What are our duckling lessons all about?
Our duckling lessons run Saturday mornings and are aimed at children 18 months - 3 years. Our lessons are heavily based around water fun to help encourage those early water skills, that can then be taken into our pre stage 1 lessons when your swimmer turns 3.
This class is always full - grab your spot before they go ๐

A question weโre often asked - Can I sit and watch my child swim?
This is how close you can sit and watch your childโs swimming lesson. We love that our seating area is so close to our pool, it often puts our new, younger or less confident swimmers at ease when their parents can be so close during their lesson ๐ฆ๐

Why stay with us to complete stage 4&5?
These stages are about working on technique and building stamina to put your child in a great position to transition to a deeper pool ๐
