Hi War & Peace,
A busy gaming night this week, a full historical table with a castle as the siege of Athens was played out.
3 tables of Kings of War 1500 point games – Empire of Dust vs Abyssal Dwarfs, Forces of Nature vs Ogres and Undead vs Xirkaali with a random variety of scenarios played out.
Count Binface is now the leader of the Undead forces and bravely stood against a horde of Xirkaali Warriors
Lots of dice rolled and models removed from tables.

Greetings once again War & Peace,

Another get together and some more battles
More Hailing of Caesar took place with lots of spiky sticks, elephants and stabby Romans.
Our Kings of War tables moved up to 1500 points and to 6 x 4 foot battlefields. The Ogres and Abyssal Dwarfs faced off and victory went to the Abyssal Dwarfs. On the other table two types of undead stared one another down as the Empire of Dust fought Undead, a dry vs damp battle. Victory went to the Empire of Dust with the newly painted Idol of Shobik being the star player

Hello War & Peace,
A quick report on the battles we had at the club this week.
One Hail Caesar conflict and a couple of Kings of War Ambush battles.
We welcomed a new army to War & Peace as the Forces of Nature joined our Kings of War conflicts in a close fought battle against the Abyssal Dwarfs.
We are moving up to 1500 point games next week, no more Ambush, so titans and warlords may be sighted on the table

Hope you aren’t melting in this heat War & Peace…
It was a hot one this week, so I’m going to keep this brief
Two tables of Kings of War (1000 points) Ogres and Abyssal Dwarfs (played 2 games) and Undead versus Xirkali.
One tablet of Hail Caesar complete with elephant, and temple to a Apollo (not just a space Greek Warrior painted Gold).
More games next week.

Hail War & Peace,

This week the baggage train must get through in the Hail Caesar game. The Delivering Supplies to Athens scenario was played. The carts didn’t make much progress up the board by the end of the evening, it turns out that dead Romans don’t make good roads. (A lot of Romans died which slowed down the movement of the supplies)

Kings of War made it’s return to the tabletop with four 1000 point Ambush armies battled to allow us to refresh ourselves with the rules. The Ogres were beaten by the Empire of Dust in a game of Kill and the new to the table Xirkali beat the Abyssal Dwarfs in a game of Push.

The evening finished off with some Monty Python Fluxx

Phew!, What a scorcher
The heat didn’t put off the gamers at War & Peace this week.

The Old Guard played against the Slammers in an Urban Rumble match in another DreadBall All Stars playtest match. Things were fairly evenly matched until Nightshade from the Slammers got hold of a Shiv and proceeded to slice up a number of Old Guard Players

The Battle outside Chaeronea was the site of our Hail Ceasar game this week and featured a unit comprising a lot of pointy sticks. The conclusion was that if one was ever to encounter said unit the best way for the sticks to point would be away.
Hopefully the temperature will cool off a little for next week, but not the gaming as some of us are heading back to Pannithor for some Kings of War

Hello War & Peacers

This week we had a couple of tables running, one with another battle of Hail Caesar and a second with some more DreadBall All Stars playtesting.

In All Stars we had a 3 player Battle Royale Arena match involving the Old Guard, the Sabrecats and the Painkillers. We adjusted the Painkillers a little to make their Boost ability a little more punishing, they as still as hard hitting as ever, being boosted just takes more out of them. The Painkillers were in the lead at the beginning of the second period, but ran out of steam as the end of the period approached. The Sabrecats scrabbled to a win with the last activation with a Lucky Logan strike in the central hub.

There was also space for some hobbying as skeletons were constructed for an Empire of Dust army for Kings of War

See you next week

The Xirkali are coming to War &. Peace... ... soon

Another Wednesday has been and gone at War & Peace,

A rules refresher was the order of the day for our historical table as they adjusted to starting some games of Hail Ceasar, Armies lined up, moved together, dicer were rolled and the elephant survived (Yay!)

We also returned to the neodurinium as we play tested the kickstarter exclusive events in a variety of arenas. The Old Guard and the Sabrecats brawled in the challenge Arena (standard arena) and the Jets were pummelled by the Painkillers, whose boost ability consigned a lot of the Jets to the locker room.
Lessons were learned and feedback will be sent to Mantic.

We are looking forward to some Root next week

All Hail the weekly missive from War & Peace games club,
This week two armies lined up and were pushed together to fight a nice relaxed battle in a game of Pike and Shotte.
Some Marauders and Nameless (using some novel rules currently in development) met on a 2 foot Deadzone board. The Marauders were disappointed as calamari wasn’t back on the menu as the Nameless won as the battlefield was obscured due to lots of expressed ink.
A game of Root saw the Rats victorious over the Cats and the Birds.
The evening finished off with some Fantasy Flux.
