A big thank you to everyone who joined us last weekend for the running of Tornado and as the reigns change over to the Flying Scotsman for the next two weekends it is perhaps time to reiterate site access and parking.
All those who have purchased tickets to ride will be contacted re the parking arrangements by Fox and Edwards as the Heritage Centre car park will be available for Blue Badge holders ONLY.
Entry to the Heritage Centre will be free however, this will only give limited viewing of the two locomotives whilst in the platforms and access to either will be restricted to those with valid tickets to travel.
Last weekend witnessed much increased traffic around the local area so please ensure you leave additional time if making the journey, especially if you are booked to travel on one of the trains.
Our usual site attractions will be open with additional food outlets to cover all tastes so plenty to pick from.
Whilst we appreciate the interest the Flying Scotsman generates, if looking for line-side vantage points to view it from, please do not enter any part of the railway track beds as this is not only very dangerous but also a criminal act and as such will be dealt with accordingly.
Thank you.
