Nottingham Leander Swimming Club Nottingham Leander is the leading elite competitive swimming and water polo club in Nottinghamshire.

Nottingham Leander is Nottingham's premier competitive and training swimming club. We cater for swimmers of all ages and abilities - from our 'Tadpoles' learn to swim programme, through our general development squad, and junior and senior competitive swimming squads. Leander also has a thriving masters swimming squad who cater for masters at regional and national level and those swimmers who just want to keep fit. Leander have training sessions for our various squads running 6 days a week across a number of pools in Nottingham and Rushcliffe, including a weekly long course session at the Harvey Hadden Sports Village

☀️🎊 Swim England National Summer Meet 🎊☀️ what an awesome way to round out the season! Congratulations to our swimmers in action over in Sheffield this past week - Sian, Olivia, Ben, Noah and Elliot

GOLD for Ben in the 50 free tonight cracking the 24 second barrier in a dominant display alongside 2 Finals and 4 PBs! To back up his next gen medal haul

2x FINALS and 5xPBs for Sian across the 100 back / 100 breast / 50 breast including new club age group records to boot! And smashing the 10 second challenge with a perfect score. All this on top of a fantastic set of swims at the next gen meet the previous week

2x FINALS and 4x PBs for Noah across the 50 and 100 fly. His 50 fly now quicker than his 50 free PB!

2x PBs for Olivia in her debut nationals and swimming in the bottom end of the 13-14 age group a number of top 10 finishes in the 13ys. A brilliant first introduction to national swimming!! Team Tagg also dominant in the 10 second challenge claiming a duck!

A strong 200 Breast for Elliot as he reached his 6th year of nationals dating all the way back to 2019!

Well done to all of our swimmers whether maiden time or veterans achieving the National standard is a superb achievement and reflective of all of your hard work, we're all so proud of you!

Two more national qualifiers to announce ahead of this weekend's National Open Water championships!

Congratulations to Ivy and Isabelle who qualified for the National OW Champs taking place this weekend! They'll be joined by Olivia who will also be competing at the pool championships next week too!

Let's do this! 6 years later the 60 seconds Skipping Challenge returns! You have 1 minute to do as many skips as possible! Record one at the start of summer, and another at the end to see if you can beat your best. Send in your videos and we'll try and keep a leader board. We'll sort prizes (confectionary or swim kit) for the winner!

We're hoping previous participants may come back to have a go!

We think Top 3 finishers last year were 196-208 skips but we're not 100% sure! So get the ropes out and see what you can do! Parents and Coaches very much welcome to get involved...we've had intel Jonny doesnt think any SP swimmers can beat him on this one 🤣😂

We're super proud Leander member Hamish has been selected to represent Nottinghamshire and the UK at the World Scout Jamboree in Poland next summer.

This is a once in a lifetime chance to attend the WSJ which happens only every 4 years and is the largest global youth gathering on the planet. Whilst out there attendees have the opportunity to experience a world of diversity while participating in activities designed to help personal growth, leadership, and global
citizenship. We know they've picked the right person for the job!

Every UK attendee needs to raise approx £3500 to
attend, paying for not only their attendance but
enabling access for those from less wealthy countries to join the event.

Wow wow wow! It's raining Green and Gold in Ponds Forge!

Well done to Ben and Maya who picked up 3x Golds tonight at the AGB Next Gen Champs!

First off Ben in the 50 fly, qualified in 3rd Place with 0.7 behind the leader but after a massive drop heats to finals and a lifetime best, smashing the 25 secs barrier for the first time, Ben took GOLD by 0.01 second in a phenomenal closing 15m

Maya was then action in the 50 free finals where she cracked the 27 second barrier for a strong 8th place finish in a very close race!

Next up relays! Maya anchoring the heats for Repton in a lightning quick 58 in the morning gave her team pole position for tonight. Her team claim GOLD in the final in a dominant display earning Maya's second GOLD of the week.

Ben was back in action with the Repton teams in the Medley relay and ripped an eye watering 54.5 split on the fly to help propel the team to a lead in what was a neck and neck race with Millfield. After a cat and mouse final leg the Repton teams took GOLD making it Ben's 4th medal of the meet

What an awesome evening for the Green team! Well done swimmers!!!
