15/16 - Liverpool Beginners (Experienced Division)

We will be providing updates on these events nearer and during the time.

So, after doing behind-the-scenes stuff over the summer, we are finally ready to announce our first open training session. Every current member has their kit now, we've been to some tournaments and looked at what we need to work on and have set up this weekend.

This past weekend saw us play at British Thumber Time in Oakham, Leicestershire. On the Saturday we picked up good solid wins against Red and Carp Diem before losing to Cloud City. A very large and long bout of thunder and lightning caused the TDs to postpone the rest of the games and squeeze them in on the Sunday.

Sunday was still a very successful day as we beat Down to Flick and Skyedi Hi which put us in the running for the Plate award. Our Quarter-Final against HUF saw another win which would take us to Monday's semi-final against Jump Leeds A. After going 3-0 down we worked hard to come back and win 13-6 (score from memory) which took us to the final against Cloud City... Again.

We decided to change our tactics and do something that we tried on Sunday which worked a treat as we ran out 15-6 winners securing the Plate trophy.

Off the pitch we massively improved our Spirit score and came 4th there and in a bit of news that shouldn't surprise anyone, we won the party award via a three way dance-off.

All in all, a lot of things were learned and we gave a good account of ourselves. We have the good basics for a good outdoor team and it is something we will work on. For now, Indoor season starts soon and we will be preparing for that.

Training times, photos and tournament events will be posted on here soon. There are a couple of details on the player's page that need confirmation first.

With harsh conditions and players who haven't played together before, our first ever Tour team put in a respectful performance over the weekend of Tour 2, finishing 29th seed. Chemistry within the team grew after each game, with many glimmers of quality throughout the tournament and a strong show of reluctance to not roll-over against some of the nation's best.
