'I can't read' is something that I used to say in any situation where I was required to read, either out loud or to check over something.
I wholeheartedly believed that I couldn't because of my dyslexia and I had told it to myself so many times that I saw it as fact.
I had even managed to get a university degree having not ever read a book!
It's only when I actually stopped to question, can I actually read? That it became apparent that I could, I just wasn't very good at it, which of course I wouldn't be because I wasn't doing it.
I decided to read a book that excited me - Peter Schmichael's Auto-Biography and I was hooked.
I couldn't actually believe how much value I was taking from reading, and more importantly, I actually wasn't that bad at it.
Fast-forward and as you can see from my videos I have a bookshelf full of books and it's something that I could say I am obsessed with.
It's opened my mind up to so much information and allowed me to help hundreds of people from the information I've gathered and more importantly it's helped me to grow.
What things have you convinced yourself that you 'are' or 'can't' do without actually stopping and questioning it?
Our beliefs are so powerful and a lot of the time they have been self-imposed, without any proof and hold us back from achieving more than we would probably like to admit.

Throughout my life, I certainly haven't showered myself in glory with some of the decisions I've made and how I have handled certain situations.
Over the years I've hurt people, especially women, and made people feel like crap completely unintentionally and although my actions may have suggested otherwise having the light shined on it and addressing it certainly hurts. I could never see that I was the destructive energy that caused the pain.
I talk a lot about responsibility, and this is the one area of my life I have had to take the most responsibility and in doing so it has given me such freedom.
All the shame, guilt and hurt I had been carrying around with me in a metaphorical rucksack, wishing I'd acted differently or done something else dissolved when I actually owned my s*!t.
Because from that place of owning it you give yourself the power to actually learn from the mistakes and although it doesn't undo anything it does mean that you won't make the same mistakes again.
And that is freeing.
Knowing you are the problem, and actually doing something about it are 2 different things, and for years I knew I was the problem but didn't know how to do anything about it.
This year is truly the first time I've been able to look myself in the mirror and be proud of the person I am, where I am going and how I am helping and contributing to others.
Take responsibility for your life, and how you have acted and actually show remorse and it will allow you to put that heavy rucksack you have been carrying down.

Are you happy with the results you are getting in your life?
With your health, mindset, finances, body etc.
If you aren't then how do you begin to change them?
This is often the question that leads people to focus on the thing that they are trying to change such as how bad their mindset is, how much excess body fat they have to release or how unhealthy they have let themselves become.
That is focusing on the effect (results) when what we really need to do is flip it and look at the cause or these effects (results) and that is us.
You are the reason that you are unhealthy, struggling mentally, have no money and have extra body fat to release, and the sooner you take responsibility for that you give yourself back the power to actually make the change!
This isn't what most people want to hear, and is the reason why nothing ever changes because they allow themselves to be a victim of circumstances rather than the creator of them.
If the water at the bottom of the stream is contaminated you go to the source and find the blockage.
The blockage in your life is your thought patterns, habits and beliefs which have led to you getting the results that you don't want.
Taking responsibility is the first step and from there you can start to make changes to your thinking and being to implement better thinking, habits and routines that will create the Results (effect) that you actually want to see.
