Took these boys to play in the One Tournament over at St George's Park. They never seize to amaze me and are a great, talented team. Not only were they playing up a year against under 9's (who were big!) but they made it to the semi-finals to play against Chelsea FC. Well done boys you played superb. ๐Ÿ‘Œ๐Ÿฝ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿฝโšฝ๏ธ๐Ÿ†

2nd June 2017 - Derby County tournament.
What a fanatic evening spent with my amazing boys. These boys blow me away and do me proud, week in-week out.

22/04/2017

Sundays 9th April 2017
Sherwood Whites u/7 v Keyworth United Greens u/8.

A beautiful day and the boys raring to go. We knew we had a tough game ahead of us, but team spirit was high (as usual), and you could sense the boys determination for the game ahead. With the game being looked on by a FA representative, and praise gushing from him constantly about the boys , it was a match to be proud of.
From start to finish it was truly amazing. Going 1 nil down in the first quarter, even though our work rate was high, we had to dig even deeper.
2nd quarter - our work rate stepped up a gear. We most definitely proved we were a team not to be reckoned with. The boys encouragement and attitude towards one-another was highly commendable. Extremelyyyyyyyy proud of the boys today, their fair play and respect they carry on and off the pitch makes us the amazing team we are. We demolish teams we face (week in week out), because we are a solid friendship group, who not only love the challenges but also love the sport and have wicked team ethics. Unbeaten all season, last two matches, come on Sherwood Whites๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿฝ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿฝ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿฝ
Like I said before, we knew it would be a tough game, but we once again pulled it out the bag and won 3-2๐Ÿ˜œ

Double match report:

Sunday 26th March 2017
Sherwood Fc white u/7 v Ravenshead Red u/8

A fabulous game. The boys were rearing to go and gave the opponents very few chances. Majority of the game we were able to keep possession and boss the game. The boys seemed relaxed more and stuck to their shape and played a blinder of a game. Some superb passing and movement off the ball enabling us to cut the opposition open time after time.
Another great win, 9-2 ( My Mother's Day treat)

Goal scorers: Ce'an 1, Janaide 3, Luca 1, Mo 1, Omar 2, OG

Sunday 2nd April 2017
Sherwood Fc white u/7 v Mansfield Woodhouse Colts Blue u/8

What an outstanding performance from our boys today.
๐Ÿ’ฏ% effort and determination. Stamina to kill and the boys triumphantly demonstrated their capabilities in abundance. What more could we ask for๐Ÿ’™
Extremely proud of their attitude and respect they carry for their team mates and opposition. They refuse to give up when it gets tough and always play their socks off.
All the boys rotated their positions today and played their roles superbly๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿฝplaying against super-strong competitors who were well organised (but fair in their play), we dug extremely deep (after going 1-0 down in the first 3rd) but was able to pull it out the bag once again. Having no subs, they had to reserve energy, in which they did, and went into cruise control the last 3rd.
I really am so proud to be a parent/manager of this amazing squad. I know for a fact that it will be a long time before another team can live up to our game play and standards. You wouldn't be able to tell that these boys are playing a year up with their capabilities and mature attitudes which they display on and off the pitch. To date, unbeaten all season๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿฝ

Great win for the boys. 3-1.๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿฝ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿฝ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿฝ

Sherwood Fc White u/7 v Rolls Royce Blue u/8

A great game of football on display today. High-energy pace and lashings of determination produced a perfect result. Passing the ball round the field with ease, closing it down swiftly and making perfect challenges. With the ball in our possession majority of the time we showed great team Spirit. The boys thought-out a great strategy, spoke to one-another and maintained solidarity amongst themselves. They are a great team to watch, creativity in abundance, all sharing the same passion of the game. They amaze me Week-in, week-out. These boys are a special bunch of boys; they don't even realise it (which is good), all they are bothered about is playing with their mates and having fun together, LOVE IT ๐Ÿ˜
The wind was extremely strong, moving the ball in unwanted positions, so we alternated quarters to make the game fair.
Goal of the match goes to Luca๐Ÿคš๐Ÿฝ What a goal๐Ÿ‘Œ๐ŸฝCe'an laid a precise corner into the box, Luca launched his self off the ground with tremendous power and height, smashed it in with a header into the back of the net.๐ŸŽ‰ All the boys played a great game today, ๐Ÿ’ฏ% effort put in by all and a unbelievable performance achieved. A wicked win 4-0๐Ÿ˜

Sherwood Fc White u7's v Arnold Town Fc Maroon u8's

Ow man!!! This was a game and a half. I would of paid to watch this game! I was exhausted afterwards and I was only coaching on the sidelines๐Ÿ˜ด
What a game๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿฝ To date, this was the most challenging game so far having been moved up to under 8's. The boys played their socks off and dug extremely deep. All the time keeping their composure and staying 'Hulk' strong.
Both teams were fantastic. Strong, skilful and dedicated. A game what the boys needed and have been waiting for - I wish every team we faced gave us the challenge we were up against today. Regardless of the few knocks and tumbles, it was a spectacular display of football by both teams๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿฝ A wicked referee (Will Heath) who made some great decisions and wasn't fazed by a few disputes from opposition- ๐ŸŽฉ's off to you๐Ÿ‘Œ๐Ÿฝ
4 quarters of magnificent football from the boys. Ce'an scored the opening goal, quickly followed by an equaliser. Arnold then banged in a cheeky goal๐Ÿ™ˆJenaide took the brunt of a challenge and won us a penalty which was driven-in by Ce'an ๐ŸŽ‰ (our first Sherwood penalty, EVER!).
2-2๐Ÿ˜ฌ
We are now warmed up๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿฝ
Remi's energy and sheer determination smashed through their defence. A 7 year old power house๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿฝ
Janaide scored a cracker of a goal, ran in from the back, out skilled a few players and put the ball in the back of the net, class๐Ÿ‘Œ๐Ÿฝ(Goal of the match).
Ce'an (who received man of the match) stood his ground and was รผber strong, holding up the ball, high pressure pressing with some awesome dispossessions.๐Ÿคš๐Ÿฝ
Omar produced some on-point corners and delivered some great crosses into the box. Smooth passing and whilst covering defence made some superb tackles.
Cole got really stuck-in today. Un-fearful, battled for the ball and moved quickly. A solid performance. ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿฝ
Mo (the brick wall), played his game perfectly. Stood his ground and and went in for some clean but successful tackles. ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿฝ
Luca's debut๐ŸŽ‰ and he played fabulous. Played every position and delivered. Fluent, strong and read the game well. A great addition to the team, and I cannot wait to see what else he has up his sleeve๐Ÿ˜œ

Well done to all the boys and supportive parents. ๐Ÿ™ˆ๐Ÿ™ˆ

A hard game for the boys today, but that's why we play up a year for these challenges. Another well deserved win, 7-4.

Sunday 26th February 2017

Sherwood Fc white u7's v Toton Tornados red u8's

Our first game playing up 2 divisions in division 2, and what a game it was.
A fantastic display of football today๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿฝ
From start to finish we played magnificent. Rotating goal keepers and every player playing different positions. The boys played the game like little professionals. A well bonded team effort with some cracking touches, dribbling and precise passing.
Remi was on point, with some solid shots and Hulk like runs down the wing, producing some subliminal crosses in. Given 'Man Of The Match' by Toton. ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿฝ
Ce'an effortlessly out-smarted the opposition on numerous occasions with his ball control and trickery. His shear strength and abilities are out of this world. He also scored a blinder of a free-kick.๐Ÿ‘Œ๐Ÿฝ
Janaid, what can I say!! Pure determination, with amazing vision, and nippiness, pulled shots off with out a thought. His foot curled around the ball producing some jaw-dropping, class goals๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿฝ
Mo looked totally comfortable on the ball today and showed off his 'keeping possession' skills. In defence he moved the ball effortlessly out of harms way.๐Ÿ‘Š๐Ÿฝ
Cole was stronger than ever today. Stayed strong on the ball, putting some great tackles in and delivering some splendid passes and crosses into the box. ๐Ÿคš๐Ÿฝ
Omar played the wing with shear determination. Delivering crosses into the box like they were going out of fashion. He covered defence so many times, getting back and winning the ball with clean tackles. ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿฝ
We play up a year to test our abilities and to improve development within the team, but these boys come through all the time. They have proved so far that they are a force not to be reckoned with and are worthy opponents playing under 8's.
Quote from Will; 'Sometimes I just can't believe what I'm watching! Unbelievable set of lads.'
They really do amaze me week after week. Division 1, here we come๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿฝ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿฝโšฝ๏ธ๐Ÿ˜Š
