Today we celebrate the incredible women who make our business what it is. π
At the heart of our wraparound care, holiday clubs, PPA cover, PE teaching, and supply team is an amazing workforce β and weβre proud to say that 90% of our team are women.
Every day they inspire, support and empower the children they work with, creating safe, fun and active environments where young people can grow and thrive. From the playground to the sports hall, their passion, energy and dedication make a difference.
Today, on International Womenβs Day, we want to say a huge thank you to the brilliant women in our team and to all the women shaping the future of education and childcare. π
ThankYou

π Meet the Team β Maya! π
Say hello to Maya, our fantastic Wraparound Manager at Bramcote C of E Wraparound!
Maya also works with us as a Holiday Club Leader, mainly based at Round Hill School in Beeston, where she helps deliver fun, engaging and active holiday programmes for the children.
Alongside doing a wonderful job with us at Wraparound, Maya also works full time as a Teaching Assistant, showing just how dedicated she is to supporting children both in and out of the classroom. π
When sheβs not working, Maya spends lots of her spare time in the gym πͺ β sheβs even taking things to the next level by competing in a HYROX competition!
Maya has a degree in Childhood Psychology and enjoys learning more about how children develop and grow. Outside of work she loves reading and socialising with friends πβ¨
Fun fact β Maya is also a twin to another one of our ACE Sports favouritesβ¦ Millie!

ππ Happy World Book Day! ππ
At our Wraparound and Holiday Clubs, we know how powerful books can be. Books open doors to imagination, creativity and learning, helping children explore new ideas, cultures and experiences. Reading together builds confidence, curiosity and a lifelong love of stories.
We are proud to have a wide variety of books available for the children, ensuring our collection reflects different cultures, backgrounds and experiences so every child can see themselves in the stories they read and learn about the world around them. πβ¨
Yesterday we celebrated by getting creative and making a fun Elmer craft, inspired by the colourful elephant from the much-loved story. The children had a fantastic time creating their own bright and unique Elmers while talking about how being different is something to celebrate! ππ¨
As Elmer reminds us:
βItβs not what you are that matters, itβs who you are.β

π Meet the Team β Lottie! π
Today weβre shining the spotlight on Lottie, who has been part of our Peacock Club team for the past 2 years! π¦
Lottie is currently in her first year at Nottingham Trent University, studying Childhood and Psychology. Through her studies she is learning all about how and why children develop and learn the way they do β knowledge she brings into her work with the children every day. Her goal for the future is to work with children with SEN, something she is really passionate about supporting. π
As well as working at our Breakfast and After School Club, Lottie also works for ACE as a Classroom Support Assistant and Holiday Club Assistant, showing just how dedicated she is to helping children learn, grow and have fun.
In her spare time, Lottie enjoys reading, going to the gym and spending quality time with friends. πποΈββοΈ

π HAF Holiday Clubs β What Are They? π
You may have heard us talking about HAF Holiday Clubs, but what exactly are they?
HAF (Holiday Activities and Food) is a programme funded by the Department for Education that provides free holiday club places for children during the school holidays. The funding is designed to support families whose children receive benefits-related Free School Meals, giving them access to fun activities, safe childcare and nutritious food during the holidays.
At HAF clubs, children can enjoy a wide range of experiences including sports, games, creative activities, team challenges and much more β all while making friends, building confidence and staying active during the school break. πββοΈπ¨β½
For us at ACE, running the HAF programmes is about so much more than just delivering activities. Itβs about supporting our local community, creating opportunities for children to try new things, and providing a safe, welcoming environment where everyone feels included. Seeing the children enjoy themselves, grow in confidence and make lasting memories is incredibly rewarding for our whole team. π
π This Easter, you can find our HAF Holiday Clubs at:
β’ James Peacock School, Ruddington
β’ Round Hill School, Beeston
β’ Hucknall National School, Hucknall
β’ Calverton Village Hall, Calverton
β’ Woodland View Primary School, Sutton in Ashfield

π Meet the Team β Mrs Baker! π
Say hello to Mrs Baker, our wonderful Wraparound Care Manager at James Peacock School, Ruddington β home of Peacock Club! π¦
Mrs Baker brings a huge wealth of experience and knowledge to the team and is always working on herself to ensure her skills and development stay up to date. Alongside being a fantastic manager, she is also one of our Designated Safeguarding Leads, a Level 3 Childcare Practitioner, and holds more training certificates than we can keep track of! π
She is our go-to person β always there to support the team and care for the children. Mrs Baker is truly one of the many cogs that keep ACE Sports Coaching turning smoothly! βοΈπ Her team absolutely love working with her and appreciate the support, care and guidance she gives every day.
Outside of Wraparound, Mrs Baker loves being an amazing grandmother to her grandchildren and is a real family person, cherishing time with family and friends. She also loves her pet doggies πΆ and enjoys socialising, going to festivals, camping, and generally living life to the fullest! βΊπΆ
And we canβt forgetβ¦ Mrs Baker is also known as one of our βbig spendersβ (in the best way possible! π) β she is always looking for new resources, games and activities to buy so the children have the very best experiences at Wraparound.
We are so lucky and honoured to have Mrs Baker as part of our team. π
