Half Marathon ☑️

The half is done, and all for a good cause.

Thank you to everyone that has donated money to go to the school I am volunteering at in Sri Lanka, it’s massively appreciated by me and will be by the school. Schools in the rural areas of Asian countries do not have a lot of money so the money will help them to buy school essentials to help the children’s learning such as books, stationary, sports equipment etc.

I know times are also difficult in England so if you couldn’t donate I have really appreciated the likes, the comments and any other bits of support and advice people have offered along the way.

A couple of practise runs in and it’s absolute hell running in the heat of Vietnam but the scenery makes up for it!

👋 Hey Everyone, just your favourite friendly neighbourhood PE teacher here 😃

As most of you know I’ve taken a year out to do a little sightseeing and I’m currently making my way to Sri Lanka to use my experience and volunteer in a primary school there for a bit of time.

As part of this I am also raising some money for the school I am volunteering in to be able to buy some fresh suppplies, books, stationery and most importantly, sports equipment.

I’ll be putting in some my own Great British Pounds but I am also looking for donations, this also comes as a physical cost to myself!

Having been a whole 10 years since last running a half marathon in sunny Stafford I have signed myself up to the Phonm Penh Half Marathon in super sunny Cambodia on June 16th!

Whilst I put myself through the hell of training in 30c+ and the hell of running 21.1km in the heat it would be massively appreciated and hugely motivating to receive some donations!

Unfortunately, Haydn has decided not to continue with our provision of half term sports clubs for the foreseeable future including the October half term and beyond due to works pending at the school and their willingness to look at other options.

For now we just want to say thank you to everyone that made our club possible allowing us to thrive and be successful in providing an excellent service to all families in and out of the area. We really couldn’t of done it without everyone’s help and support 🫶🏼

We may return in the future under the excellent leadership of Antonia and Debbie, we will keep you posted if that becomes an option.

In the meantime we would like to recommend Sparkle Spice Sitters who provide amazing childcare and are available during the October half term. If anyone would like any other recommendations for half term clubs drop into our messages and we will recommend any local clubs.

I have absolutely loved running the club for the past x amount a years it’s been an absolute pleasure and privilege spending time over the holidays with some many different children and families and sharing my love for sports with you all.

Thank you to everyone for all of the gifts they are all appreciated and I am most likely going to spend the time between now and flying drunk 😅 🍻
