Saturday was an interesting day for football, the club, and myself. ⚽️

For the first time since the announcement, we trialled 3v3 football… and what a brilliant spectacle it was 👏

Young players constantly involved in the game, more touches, more decisions, more smiles 😁

No referees, no managers shouting instructions — just pitch coordinators letting the kids play and enjoy football.

I’ll admit, when the initiative was first announced I was sceptical. But standing back and watching as a spectator really opened my eyes to how beneficial this format can be for young players.

So much so, I moved Girls Soccer School onto the pitch on Sunday and did exactly the same thing 💜💙(Back again this Sunday 9:30-10:30)

From the adults right through to the nippers, the club continues to move in the right direction 📈⚽️

What does Cotgrave FC mean to you? 💙💜

This morning I was running the line for the U11’s.

Last weekend I was helping run a tournament in Filey where 8 Cotgrave sides brought home trophies.

Over the years I’ve refereed countless games across the youth section too.

My journey with this club started 15 years ago after finishing playing and getting involved in coaching. Since then I’ve watched a community grow around the claret and blue of Cotgrave FC.

Today though… I stood there as Assistant Manager of the first team and watched the lads complete the double. 🏆🏆

I’m only one of the small cogs that helps keep Cotgrave turning, but what’s happened at this football club over the last 10 years has been unbelievable.

From Paul taking over as Chairman, to Cyrek building the first team and bringing back the reserves, this club has continued to grow year after year.

To bringing in Tank and Astill with massive budgets 🙄😂 and the crew

I honestly can’t put into words how proud I am to wear the badge on my chest.
And the best part?
It doesn’t stop here.
We go again tomorrow with TWO more cup finals. 👊🏻💙💜
