Social and team tennis all year round together with coaching opportunities provided by On The Ball Coaching. Established in 1909, Woodthorpe LTC is located just three miles north of the city centre on Mansfield Road (A60) between Sherwood and Arnold. We offer:

The sun came out for the first week of our new Walking Tennis course this morning. You're welcome to join for any of the weekly sessions. Just wear comfortable clothes and training shoes

Are you coming back from injury? Need to take it slightly slower? Just fancy trying something new? There's 6 free hourly sessions of Walking Tennis at our club on consecutive Wednesdays from 6th May 2026 10am start. All welcome to give it a try, just wear comfortable clothes and training shoes. There's a professional coach to guide you and rackets for you to borrow.

It was fantastic to see the clubhouse so full of members, ex members and other friends as we raised money for Macmillan Cancer Support. Hazel bakes such beautiful cakes and it was a lovely way to remember Wendy Haines once again. Oh, and we smashed the target, raising over £1000!

On The Ball Coaching offer their next Rusty Rackets adult tennis course starting on Monday 17th November at Woodthorpe Tennis Club. For beginners and those who haven’t played in a while, it's 4 weekly sessions, Monday evenings 6.30-7.30pm at £29.50 for the whole course.
