Given the current COVID-19 situation, your usual routine and daily habits might be effected which can cause anxiety and uncertainty.
At .coaching - and are huge believers of having a strong mindset to combat any situation.
As well as physical health we promote mental health too, hence our logo 😜 so here's some tips on how you can keep your Mind, Body and Fitness healthy over the next uncertain couple of weeks.
💚Mind
This could be a challenging time for some people mentally but here's some things you can do to stay positive.
- focus on what you can control. Try to remove negative thought by thinking about what you can control, attitudes & behaviour etc
- make a list of what you're grateful for right now (this is fun for the whole household too), you might be running low on toilet roll but maybe you are all sat together having dinner as a family for the first time in a while.
- spend some time planning some exciting things to do later this year
💚Body
Keep your eating habits as close as possible to your current routine.
Being out of your routine might spark cravings for those biscuits huyou have in for 'just in case' but do you really need them?
Don't use this time as an excuse to eat everything in the house because you're having a Netflix day. Use this time to think about what your body needs right now.
Sure, have that chocolate bar if you want it but be aware of what you are eating.
💚Fitness
Whether you can make it to the gym or you've made the decision to stay at home and self-isolate, you can still keep fit.
Keep moving! This could be an outdoor walk, a jog, or walking up and down stairs at home. Keep those steps up.
Home workouts WITH equipment - stick to basic moves such as overhead press, squats, cleans, lunges, rows, curls. Focus on controlled reps and plan ahead the amount of sets and reps you will complete.
Home workouts WITHOUT equipment - choose simple bodyweight exercises such as squats, static lunges, sit ups, press ups etc - add jumps to exercises to increase difficulty, keep rest periods short and use a timer to time your rounds.

What you put IN, you get OUT.
👉Hard work = results.
👉Thinking you've worked hard just because you went to the gym and did 20 minutes slow pedalling then you reward yourself with a chocolate bar = no results.

Are you really aware of what you consume?
We've seen it before in coffee shops when people say 'I'm being good so I'll just have a coffee today' - just because it's a coffee it doesn't mean it's 0 calories.
A large toffee latte from McDonald's is 227 calories yet a donut is 189 calories. We're not saying replace your morning coffee with a donut. Just be AWARE of what is in the foods you are eating. Not everything labelled as 'a healthy option8' is low calorie and not all foods labelled as 'unhealthy' mean high calories.
Forget about 'good' or 'bad' foods. Awareness of overall consumption is most important 🍩🍏
