Happy international dance day 💙
Today we celebrate all the many positive things that dance brings to us. Resilience, confidence, friendships, freedom, adventure, mobility, expression and joy (To mention a few)
The happy faces (see photo) the giggles, the family environment, the excitement, determination and the support is second to none!
So grateful for all the wonderful students, families and friends I’ve met along the way
I’m also so very grateful every day that my life has and always will revolve around dance💙

Last rehearsal over and done….now time to try and enjoy what will be an amazing experience for my girls 🥰
This is the first time I have EVER taken my school out of the country in my 16 years of teaching 🙏🏻
It has been a stressful journey (for me mostly 🤣) but hopefully all of the rehearsals, costume sorting, hard work, late nights, emails, phone calls etc have been worth it.
A huge thank you to and for all of your hard work and help behind the scenes and all the fundraising to help make this wonderful event happen.
Enjoy guys 🥰💙

📣Meet our newest Team Member 📣
Late last year we welcomed Karis to KHD to work with our competition teams. Karis is already an asset to the school, she is knowledgable, patient, compassionate, her choreography is fab and the students love her.
We are so grateful to have her on board 🙌🏻
A little about Karis:
I trained and competed from the age of 6, completing BTDA examinations across all core dance disciplines before professionally training and graduating from Addict Dance Academy. I competed nationally with Addict Youth and, during my training, developed a strong commercial and hip-hop skill set alongside core styles.
I’ve performed with various organisations at Move It (main stage), CYD?, in panto ensembles, as a workshop assistant, in concept videos with leading industry professionals, and toured with Addict’s commercial company.
Following severe knee injuries, I continued my passion for dance through choreography and teaching across all styles, which I’ve done for the past 9 years sporadically. In 2025, I returned to teaching regularly alongside my role as an NHS Psychotherapist — and I’ve loved getting to know the KHD girls and can’t wait for more hard work together ❤️
