The Girls went into todays final game on a high from Wednesdays win and with 3 subs this time , the perfect ingredients to sign off the season.
Three more goals for Makada , and singles for Izzy and both Millies finished off a fantastic season against a battling Sportsco FC.
I felt today especially the first half the girls played some fantastic football , really pleasing to watch and also giving us coaches a huge sense of pride.
Girl of the Game went to Tilly , this girl reads the game so well putting herself in the right areas when needed , rarely looked flustered but really effective again today at the back.
Third place in the league is a great achievement for the girls and something they should be proud of.
That's us until September now for games and we would like to thank all of our Sponsors for their support. Without your kindness the game looks very different 💙

With half of the squad away for half term the girls took the short trip up the A5 with a bare 11, we knew we needed to get the game plan nailed on early doors , the girls new their roles and executed it to perfection.
Griff taking the lead through Makada before she added a second just before the break , her determination and speed caused Atherstone problems all night, foul after foul she just got up and went again , I'd have hated to be marking her tonight.
Behind her we had 2 blocks of four who kept their shape for the full 80 minutes , each player knowing their role and playing for each other. Very proud coaches , when fatigue sets in its a big ask.
SL : "Defensively we were well organised , alert and gave a really solid performance , in attack we were at it , chasing every ball , drawing fouls , causing chaos. A real pleasing solid performance from just 11 girls 💙
Final Score 2-0
We would also like to thank Eddie at Atherstone for arranging the game in the stadium and also Maria Lees Heidi-May Beale and Sacha for their hospitality at the Stadium ❤️ a classy touch 👌
