Today is the last game of our first season in the MJPL. It’s been a challenge & a steep learning curve for all involved to say the least.

I’m confident that all players will have plenty to take away from the experiences we gained this season, and that the learning will shape and improve them individually going forward on their football journey.

The first of our away day games of this weekend sees us travel to Redditch utd for a later than usual kick off in our 13th MJPL fixture of the season.

With our MJPL cup game called off we managed to get a very last minute away game friendly against a Coalville team flying high in the TJFL.

Our first season in the MJPL had been a steep learning curve for the boys so playing familiar oppositon from the league we left last season would be a good test of our development this season, results aside.

Despite only being able to muster a match day squad of 12 players (due to injury, illness and the late fixture change) the boys all seemed to really enjoy the winter sunshine and game time and all put in a decent shift all round.
