🎄The ‘Don’t Sweat It!’ Workoutathon is BACK!🎄
Who fancies an ALL DAY Christmas Themed workoutathon? 12 hours of OneFitMama on Saturday 29th November!!
To raise funds for the OneFitMama Charitable trust, we are taking what we hope will be the last Saturday of Lockdown and filling it with a 12 hour workoutathon. Stay for an hour or stay for 12 and bring your friends - virtually or socially distanced of course 😉. Hey even drag your other half along! It is Saturday after all
All you need to do to join the fun is follow the link to this group to join and then make a donation - no matter how small.

Fair play raising so much money for ! Such a good cause for all those children everywhere!
I joined in with a few of workouts, but good job it was the kiddies one as my pelvic floor wasn’t so keen on those boinging bunny hops!
Go easy and modify if you’re exercising at home using online videos. If it feels wrong, uncomfortable or you know you have weakness tone it down a notch.
The mantra goes - If in doubt squat it out !!
Stay tuned for OneFitMama’s very own workoutathon soon !!

👣 STEPS 👣
No not the 90s pop group, foot steps!!
Many of us now have fitbits or apps that measure how many steps we do in a day. The magic number always talked about is 10,000 per day. So if you can hit this, great! But sometimes this can feel like an impossible task.
I got my fitbit when I was 7 months pregnant (and renamed in my un-fitbit!), 10,000 steps every day was not achievable! So I changed my goal and aimed for 7,000.
On days when I have done a different type of workout, weights, swimming or even a OneFitMama circuit, I reduce the number of steps I aim for as I have done another activity.
Now we are back in lockdown, I'm sure many of us will be out walking again. I love walking with the pushchair (I'll be so sad when Corey doesn't want to go in it any more! 😭). Annoyinlg my new garmin running watch doesn't pick up my steps very well when pushing the buggy, so I will aim for a 45 minute brisk walk knowing in that time I will cover around 3 miles or about 6,000 steps.
What I am saying is set your goal but make it REALASTIC! What do you have planned for the day (probably not a lot during lockdown!) and how can you make it more active? When can you fit a walk in, maybe one of babies nap times?
Set your step goals for the week ahead and see if you can achieve it. 💪

So Lockdown has officially started....
It’s ok if you’re felling a bit uncertain or anxious you are not alone in those feelings......But you are NOT ALONE even during lock down.

Mama's, I've been checking the government guidance and have some good news compared to the last lockdown...
I can only imagine how hard it was for you last time if you were stuck at home with a new baby or even a toddler and your partner was out at work all day 😢
Well the good news is that this time around you can meet up OUTDOORS in a PUBLIC PLACE with ONE other person, preschoolers do not count in the numbers so you will be able to meet up with another adult AND take your child with you!!
This is so important to avoid the isolation so many felt last time around.
Take care of yourselves Mama's. x

❤️ We'll get through it again, together ❤️
So here we go again, lockdown part 2 incoming... There's no way to sugar coat it... it sucks BUT we got through it before and we will do again... TOGETHER.
Mama's booked onto November classes - you've received an email from me.
OneFitMama classes are way way WAY more than fitness classes. Our absolute priority is to support our mama's in every way we can so if you're struggling with the news or would just like a rant, drop me a message or give me a call.
Sending love and hugs to all of you 😘 Carla # # #
