Over the years, one of my biggest passions (along with getting people fit, strong and healthy!) is connecting people and watching them form friendships.
Making friends as adults is hard, but it's incredible when it happens.
Our gym is more than physical. It's social life, laughter, community, fun, mental health, friendship.
And when you see what our members have to say and how they feel - the common word that shows up is friendship 😍

76lb GONE 🤯🤯🤯
Danni has lost 34g! Crazy thing about that is getting out 34kg in weight and carrying it to the box (the kettlebell and dumbbell) was hard work! Awesome effort, determination and consistency from Danni 👏🏼

It's PB fortnight @ pod Personal Training!
We split our ‘testing’ sessions over 2 weeks to allow for recovery between. We actually changed our session programming at the start of this year and we’ve seen great results! More PBs than usual, better and faster results, better recovery and better performance overall.
However, it’s important to share that we can’t always be getting PBs. Even if you’ve followed your plan perfectly, there will always be factors that can influence your performance.
• Mental state (focus, confidence, intent)
• Nervous system readiness
• Fatigue levels (training & life stress)
• Sleep quality & duration
• Nutrition & hydration
• Muscle recovery & soreness
• Injury or movement limitations
• Program design (volume, intensity, progression)
• Exercise technique & efficiency
• Warm-up quality or efficiency (i.e. over exerted in warm up)
• Training consistency over time
• Time of day / energy levels
• Gym environment & atmosphere
• Training partners / accountability
• Caffeine, music & environment
The PBs you don’t get are all part of the progress and their journey.

We have created a running programme which we sent out to our members and you can access it FOR FREE.
Our members are currently achieving 5km PBs, they're running distances they didn't think was possible, entering half marathon and marathons and basically, they are achieving impressive running goals every week due to following strategies and structure that we have set them.
This plan will be useful for anyone who:
• is completely new to running and needs somewhere to start
• wants a 5km PB
• wants to run more often
• wants to include more variety into their runs with sprints and shorter distances
• wants to increase their speed�
Whether one of these or all of these apply, you will benefit from the plan.

The happiness you feel when you train with your friends every week, you're hitting running goals and have entered some competitions for later this year, you're on track with nutrition and have lost 4kg and people are complimenting you on nights out 💃

Last week we launched our new initiative 'Strength Era'.
Working alongside Indigo Fitness we are leading a 4 week introduction programme in the gym.
The aim of this programme is to educate young girls on the fundamentals of strength training and develop confidence in a gym environment.
The girls thoroughly enjoyed the experience and are already looking forward to the next session as they continue to develop their strength, confidence and knowledge over the coming weeks.
