So many people come for a public session and tell us they’d love to take it up as a new hobby but nerves get the better of them.

What they don’t realise is that joining a league is about so much more than throwing axes.

On May 18th, it would have been my (Kitty’s) brother Neil’s birthday. 💚

Neil took his own life after battling with his mental health for many years. In his memory, we held a marathon league and ran a raffle to raise money for Back and Forth - Men’s Mental Health, a charity that’s close to our hearts. We’ve proudly supported them with events, and Coggy has even appeared on their podcast.

Tonight, the team from Back & Forth joined us for an evening of axe throwing, laughter and great company. It was the perfect opportunity to surprise them with £230 from the raffle. 💙🪓

A huge thank you to everyone who donated raffle prizes, bought tickets and helped make this possible. Every contribution, no matter how big or small, helped us raise money for an incredible cause that is making a real difference.

Mental health matters. Check in on your friends, your family and those around you. Sometimes, a simple conversation can mean more than you realise. And if you’re struggling yourself, please reach out to these guys. 💚

No pressure, no awkward introductions and no need to be any good at it. Just turn up, have a laugh and spend the evening with a good group of blokes.

🪓 What a month it’s been! 🪓

Since getting back from the IATC and throughout the World Cup, we’ve barely stopped for breath!

Here’s a quick catch-up on everything that’s been happening at Lumberjaxs…

🏆 Rookies
Tamworth: Joban took the win beginning of June, followed by Temper last week! A huge shoutout to Temper, who completed both the league and playoffs with just 2 weeks to go before baby arrives! 👶🏻💪🏼
Nuneaton: Brownie took the win! 👏

🎯 Grads (Tamworth)
Yokai took the title in both Junes and last week’s playoffs!
Give someone else a turn now 😆.

An incredible all-female podium finish, with Dreadz taking 1st place! 💥

And of course… NightWing took the overall win. 😆🏆

Yep… NightWing did it again! He’s the silent assassin. Congratulations 👏

⚽ We’ve also had an amazing time cheering on our England lads during the World Cup, with nights down the Bulls Head.
Didn’t they do us proud? 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿

Although… Niffler and Kitty decided it would be a great idea to do a shot 🥃 for every goal scored during the England vs France match ..
Yeah… that turned out to be a terrible decision. 🤦🏻‍♀️😂

All of this whilst dealing with some pretty hot 🥵 conditions.

So apologies for falling behind on the league updates… it’s been one hell of a month, and we wouldn’t have it any other way! ❤️
