Following the tragic news recently that a footballer died in Cirencester after colliding with a concrete wall, We have taken steps to ensure the safety of our users at the stadium.

A big thank you to Apex Safety Padding who have installed padding around our dugouts.

This padding will now make the dugouts safer for both footballers and athletes alike.

Stadium improvements to start this week!

This week sees the start of our three weeks worth of improvements to the stadium and its facilities.

From today our old outdated gas boilers have been removed and are being replaced by a new energy efficient heat pump system. This system compliments our already installed solar panels in December, To help reduce our carbon footprint.

Also this week our gala fields changing rooms are undergoing a facelift with everything getting a fresh lick of paint, alongside some remedial works.

Next week will see the start of our scheduled track cleaning. The whole track will undergo an enhanced deep clean by specialist contractors to help maintain the surface for years to come.

Then the following week the main footpath outside the clubhouse will be replaced with new block paving to help with drainage during wet periods. Alongside some other small groundwork’s.

All facilities will remain open during the improvements.

The Pingles Stadium expansion!

The Pingles Stadium operated by Nuneaton Harriers Community Association in partnership with Nuneaton Harriers AC & Nuneaton Griff FC has secured a long term lease and licence from Nuneaton & Bedworth Borough Council to run the two football pitches and associated changing facilities at the old running track on avenue road. Also know as Gala Fields. These pitches will be maintained and managed by the stadium as part of the community association’s long term plan to develop football provisions within the borough.

Jared Wilson, Operations Director said:
‘By securing these pitch’s and changing facilities we can further develop our portfolio of facilities and services we offer to both our in house and local teams. Through our long term strategic plan we will work with our various partners and stakeholders to enhance the site further, to provide clean, modern sporting facilities for all’

The old running track was demolished in 1999 after it move to the then newly built Pingles Athletic Stadium. Nuneaton Harriers Athletic Club gifted the old running track ground and pavilion to the local authority and it has been used as football pitches ever since.

Mollie Orton, Association Chairperson said:
‘After twenty six years since we moved from the old running track it seems fitting that we have now been entrusted to maintain this site again for future generations to enjoy’
