Mid-Warwickshire Ladies County Bowls

A fantastic turnout for MidWarwickshire Ladies merits today where we don’t do trophies…. Instead we have the golden jacket 🧥 Hosted fabulously by Pheonix who not only provided a very tricky, beautiful green but measured and supported all day. A huge thanks to Brain and Matt Allen. The bowling was great, some real improvement in our developing players and great to see them playing with confidence and good spirit as always. Winner was Kate Williams pipping Jill Gibbon to the post in the final. Well done to all 🏆

on 12th April at the Windmill I will be holding a Referee course. It will be from around 9.30am and will finish around 3pm. It will be 2 sessions and 1 exam. The second exam will be a few weeks later. The cost will be £10 each and this will include the course and tea and coffee. There will be bacon and sausage sandwiches available on the day too if we get enough people.
Your ref fees following you passing the exams are only £10 a year. If you wish to purchase a ref jumper it will be around £30 (but this isn’t compulsory)
If you want to attend the course but not sit the exams that’s fine but will still cost you £10 to attend but will give you a chance to learn the rules.

Mid Warwickshire ladies embark on their final game of their debut season today at Dudley and at home at Windmill sports club. All support is welcome and we know everyone pulling on their shirts do so with pride. We will play with passion and endeavour to perform well even with the rain gods against us. Whatever the result we will laugh and be untied as one team, delevoping, supporting and encouraging one another. Let’s go ladies!!!! ♥️

2 Mid Warwickshire Ladies coming winners AND runners up in the Nuneaton League Mixed Pair today. Also two junior girls did well at Haunchwood in the Junior merits x Mid Warwickshire Ladies in fine form and fantastic support once again. Let’s Go!

Our first Dorothy Pierce Pairs yesterday under Mid Warwickshire!! The weather threatened to dampen things down but we ended up with a fabulously dry day with a fantastic turnout. Great to see some new faces amongst Mid Warwickshire too!!! Weddington green is always super tricky but there was some great bowling, awesome partnerships and most importantly lots of laughter, support and fun!!! A huge well done to Jo Aubrey for running seamlessly and to all who attended. 💕 💕
